Klopp leaving, Arsenal plateauing and hopefully City feeling the brunt of the 115 charges could open the door for us. We're literally the next best team

Nah bad Bailey was pretty bad sometimes. He'd just be tripping over himself and getting dispossessed often. Even at his worst, Diaby's worst crime seems to be that he can't beat his man or doesn't even try. Worlds away from Bailey's worst. It's why I'm quietly excited to see his upturn in seasons to come. I suspect his ceiling might be higher too just like his floor.

When they asked him about who was available for Sunday and he went through the injuries and said "Mings, Buendia, Ramsey and Kamara", it really hit home how stunning of a job he's doing. Those were literally 4 of our best players last season, and cover the entire length of the pitch in terms of position. That he currently has us in 4th and in a European semi-final is simply staggering.

I don't know what it is about Cash but he somehow slows down our play more than Konsa at RB. Ruins the whole flow.

Unai 6-4-0 masterclass please. We haven't seen too many of those at Villa.

I think wins against Bournemouth and Palace + a draw against Brighton might just be enough. Any bonus points from Chelsea and Liverpool (which are at home and certainly not beyond us) would almost certainly take us over the line. Don't want to be too loud, but I think we got this.

Egal something, it was on some panel of Arsenal fans after our game. I can't find the video unfortunately, it was a random watch. Got a right chuckle out of me and some of the other guys on there too even though they were angry. Genuine bewilderment on his part.

Not over if City go through and beat Bayern, plus good results tomorrow

Guy must have played 90 minutes about 60 times this season. Arteta is running him into the ground Steve Bruce style

Interesting reading Eric Dier say Postecoglu doesn't really do tactical work, and Ange himself all but confirming that saying they don't do work on how to stop the opposition etc. It's all about how their style of football works on the day basically. Kind of gives me hope as I feel that would lead to the inconsistencies we've been seeing from them all season. I don't see them pulling off the tactical masterclass Emery did at the Emirates for example. That was a tailored plan specifically for that one game. They'll be approaching their games against Arsenal and City and Liverpool the same way they did against Fulham and Newcastle. It could work, it could not. If I were to back any manager to grind out the 10 points needed to get top 4 with Spurs fixture list, it's definitely Emery. Turns out Emery's fixture list is easier as it stands. Quietly optimistic.

I'm talking about individual seasons? I rate European trophies above domestic ones. Neither Arsenal or United have won a European trophy while finishing in the top 4, since 2014...or 1994 in the case of Arsenal. I mentioned that Mourinho season as a caveat as they won the Europa League and FA Cup but finished 6th. That probably a better season than 4th and ECL. Tottenham haven't won a single trophy since 2008. I think they finished 9th that season. 4th and Conference League would be a monumental season.

To put it in perspective, if we finish 4th and win the ECL, it'll be better than pretty much any Arsenal season in the past 20 years, and every Man United season post-Fergie bar the season Mourinho did the double. I don't even need to mention Tottenham here. We are in the driving seat for this to happen. I don't think people are quite grasping how special this season can be. Why worry about Dortmund when we can enjoy Villa getting over the line?

It's funny seeing other fans' reactions to him. It's like he spawned out of nowhere. One prominent Arsenal content creator seemed absolutely bewildered at his existence and called him an NPC lmao. It's very strange to be the team that other fans are jealous of with our scouting and recruitment. It's been a strange 18 months in general really. Almost feels like it's happening to another club. The turnaround has been insane. Championship, 17th, 11th, 14th....7th then 4th...what?

All of those players bar maybe Watkins had wobbles at some point or another this season. Digne has been extremely consistent all season whether in the league or in Europe, and it's just a nice story. It's why I went for FPOTY as that award is typically more sentimental.

We can quite conceivably be 9 points clear of Spurs on May 4th. They could win their next 3 in a row and still probably be behind us. We're in the driver's seat and Unai is at the wheel. Calma.

Crazy game

I never understand why people care about how the media cover us. It reeks of being small time. Like I understand during the few good moments of the Lambert era or something, a few crumbs of praise from the media would be as good as it gets. But we're close to winning a European trophy as well as finishing in the top 4 and playing CL football next season. Respectfully, wtf do I care about Garth Crooks at this point?

Not looking good for Spurs this
-
Hope he wins fans' player of the season or something, he needs to be recognized for this superb season he's had, especially under the circumstances of seemingly being unfancied after being a huge signing under the previous chancer of a manager (similar to Coutinho), and then being completely upstaged by Alex Moreno last season. He's turned all of that on its head.
-
I thought it was Danjuma, I had to triple check.
-
He had it before the injury. He's been slowly building it back. Been getting a few niggly injuries along the way but it looks like he's getting close to his strongest now.
