    I thought that the medical team were unable to get to the root of the problem. Whatever the problem is, DS needs to get somebody in with some creativtiy because without Jack we look devoid of ideas.

    Agree that it is sad news but to say that he had started to settle down is not true. Yes he is a decent shot stopper but he reminds me of Dracula - he is afraid of crosses.

    Apart from giving away a dangerous free kick on the edge of the box, which could esily have cost a goal.

    Thor made a big difference when he came on for the lumbering Whelan, whose main contribution was to give away another dangerous free kick which could easily have resulted in us conceding a goal.

    Yes you are. Having Jedinak instead of Whelan made a massive difference.

    Great to see Villa play such flowing football. That's the best I've seen Jack play since the semi final against Liverpool.. We look so much better with Jedinak in midfield instead of the lumbering Whelan. I wonder if Bruce would have dropped him if he wasn't ill. Sometimes managers just can't see what the fans think is obvious. Special mention for Hutton. He looks so much better at left back. Considering we are only 5 points behind Derby we still have a great chance of automatic promotion.

    I just couldn't understand why Jedinak was played on the left given that he can't use his left foot and Chester had been playing on the left in JT's absence. For the second goal didn't he take a wild swing with his left foot and completely missed it.

    My friend is a Sunderland season ticket holder. He was always moaning about Bruce. I now understand why.

    I am not ITK and I don't know if what I was told is true. I hope it is not and that Randy has somebody lined up but I have a nasty feeling that we will not get a quick sale.

    Did the person who told you also get told this? He is a chartered accountant who specialises in financial acquisitions.

    I have been told that Randy had agreed a deal to sell the club weeks ago but that it unexpectedly fell through. He made his statement about talking about his intentions at the end of the season thinking that he would be able to tell everybody that he had sold the club. Now that his buyer has dropped out he is in limbo and is desperately trying to find somebody else to buy the club.

    Going to my first match of the season as I was on holiday for the Liverpool game. Does anybody know if we use last year's season ticket as I can't find the welcome pack that the club sent me. If anybody can post a picture of the new card I would be grateful.

    It is being reported this morning that Spurs will not offer more than £15m for Benteke, yet they value Bale at £80m.
