  1. If they sign him I'll be shocked, no offence to Newcastle but he should be joining a much bigger club. He's Champions League quality, what a coup if true :|
  2. To be fair Vaughan was a very good striker when he was 16/17 and was tipped for big things. I think it's a shrewd move by Norwich as the lad certainly has talent.
  3. Villa Park Goodison Park White Hart Lane Old Wembley New Wembley Anfield St Mary's Pride Park The Sty
  4. How much did he contribute? It may just be me, but the medal would feel pretty worthless to me when I've only played the odd replay v lower division sides. When it came to playing the big boys Milner was no-where to be found. Barry I agree with as he had a significant contribution.
  5. If Harry goes to Chelsea, I am sure a bid will go straight in for Modric.
  6. I'd believe that, most footballers come across badly nowadays but Downing seems like one of the good guys and was generally loyal to Boro till they went down. Watch him leave us now
  7. No chance. How did you work that one out? It's two places above where we are this season and we've been shocking for half of it.
  8. You know nothing of Paul Faulkner, why you feel you're in a position to constantly talk about him all the time I don't know... Unless of course you work at Villa, and get to see how he performs in his job day in day out.
  9. I seen that, it did feel like a come and get me plea to Villa.
  10. That website makes up rumours for hits.
  11. I'd say Chelsea myself, as others have said he's more likely to get a game as there is a place on the wide right to be filled. Based on hearsay it seems a City more is more likely though.
  12. Alexis Sanchez will be going to either Chelsea or City that's for sure.
  13. Why does every injury need to be explained to the press? It's the same with all our players anyway. It's only usually the more serious ones that get any attention. Others clubs seem to be the same too.
  14. I think he's suffering from the fact that he's the first foreigner to join us from another league in years and people have forgotten how patient you have to be. Oh no I forgot Salifou, well erm...
  15. No-one is saying that tho are they!? People like me are just reserving our judgement till such a time that it is fair to judge. ie. next season after a full pre-season. Some people are and I'm referring to them. I have no opinion on Makoun myself right now, as I will give him time till I judge him too.
  16. I think that's a poor comparison. Downing, once he started playing, made an obvious and sustained difference to the way the team played and quite a lot of people were able to point to substantive examples of that when arguing against Downing's critics. That just hasn't happened in Makoun's case. He hasn't established a role or presence in the first team. For people to cite the man U game - one we lost 1-3 - as a sign of his potential seems a bit far-fetched to me. As I say, let's see how things look at the end of next season. As ridiculous of people citing he won't make it based on a couple of games.
  17. I loved Blue Valentine, although anything with Gosling in is usually great. Looking forward to his new film Drive, got some very good reviews. Recently watched... Brilliant film, it's quite a long one and hard to follow at times but it's broken down into two parts which gives you a break if needed. My first Tarkovsky film, and visually it was beautiful for its time very much like 2001 by Kubrick. Also watched... Very fun watch, you may notice the one guy from Inglourius Basterds. It can't be taken very seriously, you just take it for what it is.
  18. Yeah barry we're just gonna sell our whole team 8) We'll only have the kids left
  19. No because you could easily say that in Arsenals form they'd have wanted to have bounced back and ended their season at home with a win. The same way you presume Liverpool didn't want Europa League when that certainly didn't seem like the case to me listening to players like Lucas midweek. A club like Liverpool have the resources to play in Europe and still do well in the league so they would have been highly motivated to win today. It's all silly presumptions.
  20. It was also a very good time to play Arsenal too. They were understrength that day and there for the taking. And, let's be honest, whilst we played quite well today, Liverpool did not want Europa league football and the deck chairs were out today. Our luck seems to have changed in the last few weeks though, which is pleasing. I refuse to get carried away because we have ended the season positively, I think it would be wrong not to recognise the improvement, but we should view the season as a whole. Absolute rubbish, amazing that when ever we win is because the other team weren't up for it or were in a bad spell. Just as bad as when we lose and it's for one reason or another. A win is a win.
  21. To be fair Spurs probably wouldn't have scored if Wolves hadn't as SHA had to go for the win
  22. He's saving them all up for next season
  23. Coyle has always been overrated. A good manager but has a lot to prove before joining a club like ours. The good football is a load of rubbish too, it's still pumping it up to Davies every attack. They have scored some quality goals though. Certainly prefer Hughes.
