  1. We're favorites to sign Trippier on Paddy Power. Obviously means nothing just very surprised to learn that (1) there's a betting market on Trippier next club , and (2) we're the favourites!!!
  2. Not sure why people are overly concerned with the fee. He looks like a great player
  3. Would be a very decent signing especially at that money. Looks an incredible player at times, hence the United links etc. Would be a good addition for us even though he can be inconsistent.
  4. I reckon we've a deal in place for Benrahma and Watkins
  5. If Will Hughes is available at the £13m quoted in some papers, we'd be mad not to bid for him.
  6. £20 million fee agreed according to football insider. I've no idea if that site is reputable, just saw it on BBC Sports update.
  7. We should go in for Ben White, not our biggest priority position but it would weaken Leeds and potentially Brighton!
  8. Sky Sports saying we're in for Ramsdale. Not sure if it's just the usual sky bull
  9. And how they still managed to get relegated that season after reaching and losing both Cup finals. The original 'doing a Fulham'
  10. Sheffield Utd have bid £12m for Aaron Ramsdale. Hopefully we don't need a keeper.
  11. I was just illustrating that there are potentially good signings among what are described as big clubs rejects. Don't think Southampton were ever in danger of signing Drinkwater. I'd imagine Loftus Cheek on loan would be a good signing
  12. Benrahama, Watkins & Henry would all be upgrades on what we have. The key question will be price. If there is little to no market there could be way more value on the continent than in England. We're probably all Belgian'd out, but if Jonathan David can be purchased in the same price range as the like of Wakins then we need to think strongly about where we spent our budget.
  13. Hard luck. It's hard to figure why ye fizzled out, as Frank said the fine margins went against ye a few times this season. Better luck next season.
  14. Billing would be a fine addition. We're probably all Belgian'd out, but all the same Jonathan David looks a good prospect.
  15. Think Philip Billing would be a good signing for us. Didn't set the world on fire this season but showed enough to know that he will continue to improve. Well suited to a more attacking role which thankfully Howe realised too late
  16. The role is about much more than this. It's about ensuring the club is focusing on recruiting and developing players that are technically good and also tactically astute. It's a long term project and needs be overseen by someone who's not immediately judged by results on the pitch. Managers have to focus on the short term and some tension between the 2 should be expected.
  17. Is it just a coincidence that Easah Suliman went there? Delighted to see him starting a few games for them. Thought it was a good move for the lad. But now wondering if there was already some form of link!?
  18. Wonder if the story linking Sawiris to buying a stake in Victoria Guimares has anything to do with Villa? Would like to think it's part of long term strategy, which includes a feeder club in Portugal! Probably unlikely that we have that level of strategy!
  19. Strange one. He deserves his share of credit for us getting up and still being a premier league club. I would have thought he'd be a long term appointment. The fruits of his work will only emerge after some time. It's too early to judge him and anything other than the signings.
  20. United probably thought they'd have it easy tonight against a West Ham side that were , in reality, safe. Hopefully they'll have lost the edge and Moyes will ring the changes!
  21. Watched Arsenal tonight. We are finished if they play like that. Hopefully they're wrecked and rotate.
  22. I still believe. Villa supporters deserve to stay up
