Having seen the interview on sky there can only be 1 conclusion about the lack of transfers, when asked PL had to take time to think of an answer and said RL knew the situation and what he needs. I am really starting to get pissed off with RL now, what the hell is he playing at, spend £30 million now and Gain £60 million in the summer, no bloody brainer the thick git, how much money does he think we will loose by getting relegated, how long to get promoted back, it defies belief.

Disgraceful, call you're self fans, Vlar worked his ass off last night, how many times did we see him trying to gee up the players, running with the ball trying to create something, I can understand the anger and disappointment but aim it in the right direction, Vlar is not responsible for the inept displays of others, Benteke not being able to hold on to a ball, stray passes, overhit crosses, forwards not moving into space and standing together. Nzogbia running down blind alleys, Gabby not doing his job on the wing. shit taclkling.

One man who could do it is Glen Hoddle, Still think though we are putting to much blame on PL, I looked at the subs bench and there was no one else to bring on who could make a difference, Piss poor squad, RL is to blame, as has been said PL knows the problems and has asked for the funds to get the players he needs, he was refused, how can we blame PL for that, I also do not understand the blaming of Vlar, yes he was at fault but he made 1 mistake in the game (he was trying to organise the others and did not do his own job, he will be his own worst critic), The blame lies with the midfield, PL took them off because there heads had gone, they were incapable of passing, holding on to the ball and looked like red cards waiting to happen, yes we lost the tie and we are pissed off but PL can not take all the blame, the fault lies with the incompetance of the players, Gabby, ireland, Benteke, Delph, Bennett, Bannon, they should all hold their heads in shame for their lack of effort in the second half and their lack of ideas.

Mixed feelings really, we all called for bent and weiman to come on and they did, yet again the problem was lack of movement and the inability to find space and stretch the defence, the second half was not really unpredictable, they simply removed the space we had and stood tighter to our players like wba did and we fell apart because of the inability of our players to think. This is why we had so many passes go astray, they tried to rush them instead of finding time and playing. The subs had to be made as we might as well have lost 2-1 than not have a go at them. Not sure on Lambert any more but if anything good comes out of it it may be money being made available, we had pretty much our best team out there and got embarrassed again.

The problem is most of the goals scored against us from corners showed it was Benteke who lost the man,

The fans will always have higher expectations and rightly so, I hope to god we stay up and we keep Lambert because If what we think will happen happens then we may well see changes in the playing staff for next year and a decent budget.

I think as has been said it is a case of the players not wanting to come here, we are unsettled, confidence is rock bottom, we look like we may be relegated, the manager may be replaced, if you were an agent would you recommend you're client to come here. the only players who want to come here are players who would genuinely see us as a step up even if relegated or players after a big wedge thrown at them at the wrong end of their careers, this is why it is hard to buy in January. QPR and Southampton can do it as QPR look like a team about to go places with the right additions and Southampton are pretty settled. We need to look at the bigger picture and realise that in the real world there are many reasons why players are hard to obtain, an example being DB9, look at what we had to pay both transfer fee and wages to get him here.

Look around and see there are not that many good managers, if any are out of work and looking for a job then ask why, PL was taken on for the long term to change the club from the ground upwards, although it has all turned to rats at the moment none of us can say how it will end up, We have constantly heard about behind the scenes problems with certain players who PL has banished, he has had a big problem with injuries and confidence, I keep hearing he is the worst manager ever, really funny how he is so highly rated by players and professionals. How many managers have we had in the last few years, all of them apparently incompetent and shit, really, Maybe as anybody in the know points out there are alot bigger problems than the manager, problems the manager needs time to fix, we always blame the manager, replace him and start the cycle again, we need to hold tight and give the man time to show what he can do long term, how many managers in the past could have been sacked in the first year but turned things around, As has been said before the Chelsea match we were seeing an improvement, We now have players coming back who can actually change things for us, Now the games have stopped coming thick and fast he can work with the players, Maybe he will fail, I am not a fortune reader but what I do know is we have to brake this cycle and become a stable club to encourage both progress with the players and also to encourage future signings to want to come to us. at the moment it may not be possible to bring in players as we are not settled and give off the wrong impression to players we want. You have to have players come in who want to play for the club and not mercenaries looking for a pension fund.

Its all quite scary really at the amount of rumors being spread about PL. was told today by a friend who has a brother who once dated the niece of his workmate who makes the paint for the pitch lines at VP. Apparently the team is in disarray and upset because the club has insisted the players eat porridge and warm up by stepping over two swords in a dancing like manner. the problem is the swords are reflective and permit the media photographers with their zoom lenses to see what they are wearing under their skirt like shorts the manager insists they wear. No wonder we have so many foot and groin injuries.

It isn't the pitch that is the problem but the public areas (stands) and the traveling crowds with no public transport that may get the games postponed.

Not really, the games Sat And Tues will no doubt be postponed due to weather so we have another weak really.

We have to look at what PL said, he can get 2 or 3 players in to help but long term they may not be the players he wants to move forward, again we think short term fix and he is thinking long term, As much as it hurts if we have to go down to improve then so be it, I am sure PL and RL do not want this and the club desperately does not want this but again we can not keep buying players on big contracts for the short term who will effect the long term strategy of the club. we need to brake the cycle to move forward.

I wish people would stop banging on about the money we have spent, we need to look at the bigger picture. take an honest look at the squad, for the last 2 years we have all said it was not good enough, the managers have said it was not good enough, Yes we have some high earners but we have a squad of 25 players, out of these 25 how many players would we say were of premier league standard, honestly we have 9 or 10 players, the rest are youth players or those on the brink of being what we would call covering players for injury, I may be wrong but looking at it PL has not just got to get a first team but make the squad better than what we have, to have players who can come in and make a difference, I love what happens when we have a bad spell, the players who we all said should never play for Villa again or are poisonous to the squad suddenly should come back and help us because they are better than what we have - really, Last year Collins was called a word removed, not fit to wear the shirt, the worst defender we ever had, now people are saying we should not have got rid of him. We need probably 3 players to come in to keep us from relegation, what happens though next year? The state of the club is bad and I like everybody else I am p---ed off with it but we have to brake this cycle we are in of just doing enough to survive. The chairman can not be held responsible for our best players leaving, this happens everywhere and will continue to happen as long as players and agents are there. Without doubt RL and PL have not performed well this season, maybe there was funds going to be made available this jan but the position we are in and the drop in attendance has changed things. I have sat back after like everybody else having a rant and a sulk and tried to look at the bigger picture, We have been a club that has been going no where since we won the European cup, yes we have the odd season where we over achieve, but on the whole we are a top 12 team. We need to change things long term, I wish I knew how but I dont, this we must leave to the experts, Getting rid of PL will not change things, he said it was a long term project and he is paid to know these things, He obviously has a plan in line with RL to change our fortunes over the coming seasons, No we do not want to be relegated, no doubt RL and PL do not want this either, The question is if RL left would things honestly change? I am not so sure. Again I say we do not know all the facts, we are fans who follow the team, There is enough evidence out there to show what could happen to us, Blues, Blackburn, Forest, Wolves, Leeds. I am more inclined to believe we are waiting to see who we can off load before bringing players in as this may just determine the player we aim for. PL has given the board a list and they have supposedly said no, maybe its not no but get rid of some players first, Part of me can see this as bringing higher paid players in at the moment is a risk if we go down, maybe the leak to the press about the top earners not having a relegation clause is true and proving more influential to the board than we think.

Oh we should criticize alright, but aim it at the right person. IF RL can change his mind then we should help his do this. We have shown in the past he can listen to the crowd, signing PL is evidence of this, It is about time we backed the manager and aimed our displeasure at the people who deserve it. I for 1 am fed up with these players on mega money who do not earn it or work for the club and even more fed up with an owner happy to see the manager take the blame, RL should have the balls to come out and explain the reasons and take the heat off PL. This will never happen though as he will get flown in, show his face and leg it leaving others to pick up the pieces and sort out the mess, could be guided by an American General, Never in my 45 years following the Villa have i felt so let down.

I do not want to change managers as yet again the money would be wasted rather than going to where it should be - players, We have some good players at the club of this there is no doubt, if many of our players were transfered they would probably shine in another team which has experience and stability, The Chelsea result was a bigger set back than we feared, confidence is totally shot, players do not trust other players and end up out of position trying to cover other players. What should but can't happen is for some players to be given a rest and allowed to recover, this is why we need to bring in new players, players who can give encouragement and guidance, players who the young ones can look up to and try and impress. PL can see this he is not stupid but judging by his manner he will not be allowed to, he will be asked to carry on regardless and hope he can turn it round, I fear for us if we loose to Southampton and the baggies, there may be no way back.

Ok I have calmed down a bit now, Looking at the game now the problems are pretty much we do not have a midfield, the defense try their best but on corners you have to rely on the midfield picking up the players, yet again this did not happen, we bypass the midfield and hoof the ball, looking closely when the defenders head the ball out there is no villa player between the half way line and the attack to pick up the pieces, the players we have got showed up many times by diving in and missing the ball allowing the player to walk round them. they were knocked off the ball way too easily with their hands in the air claiming a foul, In my opinion PL needs to get a defensive coach in to teach the basics, obviously PL does not have this as the same problems were evident at Norwich. We need 2 good experienced midfielders, even if we pay £20 mil for the pair it would be worth it as the defense and attack will improve, It is evident that PL can motivate as you could see the players were fired up after half time, the problem was they did not get a break and the confidence dropped off. Bannon and Delph should not be played together but along side a leader who can motivate and guide them. I think the fact Clarke is the captain speaks volumes about the standard of player at the club, he is not experienced enough or tactically astute enough for this role, a captain should be an extension of the manager. My problem is I believe PL is to stubborn to admit he has got it wrong and will persevere to try and prove he is right.

We have no midfield. and a piss poor defence, I have defended PL but if he does not buy 2 decent defenders and a decent midfield then he should go. Any body who knows about football knows to beat a lower devision team you have to pass the ball quickly and play around them, drag them out of position and exploit the spaces, why do we keep lobbing the ball from defence to attack, easy to defend against at any level, You have to be strong against them but we have a team of girls who get knocked off the ball easily, Benteke does not know how to defend and I would blame him for 2 of the goals, can we turn it round - yes but will we -

One of the biggest problems we have had over the last few years is these so called experienced players, how many times have we heard of the behind closed door problems, disputes with players, ill discipline from players, A lot of the problems have been rifts in the changing room, We now have a proper manager who has laid the law down and will stick to it, It has not come as a surprise to me to see the players who have been linked with the problems being made an outcast. This is why I believe Warnock, Bent, Hutton, Dunne (maybe Nzogbia) will be shipped out. A team will function better if the players are together, work for the manager and each other and will run through brick walls, a lot of teams in the past have not been the most technically brilliant but were great sides, I have said before we should not jump to conclusions and analyze situations we know nothing about and we should have trust in the manager who lives or dies with his decisions, As has been said, we do not need experienced players but good players to do a job the managers needs doing,

Hopefully Ron will be back and we can play herd as the DCM in front of him and Clarke.

After my last prediction I predict a win for us against Southampton, Damn that injury time.

Why are we always looking for people ITK, the only people who know aint gonna tell anybody, just because someone knows a player and he makes a comment does not make it fact, a player may be asked an opinion on someone he has played with or against but it does not mean he will be signed, there are many people out there payed to get tips and scoops for a living and we all know how accurate they are, anybody can analise a club and make educated guesses and probably get 80% right, it dont make them ITK though.
