  1. White socks with that? there's got to be a rule against wearing a kit that distracting?
  2. yes this will work with the away kit, when it will be invisible
  3. Double money from £20k (if that's what he's on) to £40k. That will make him one of the top earners once Bent, Given, Dunne and Ireland are gone, so he couldn't complain there. Gabby might be on more but he's a senior player and our all time top Premier League goalscorer. Then I'd expect him to go after next season, but at least the contract extension will allow us to command a huge fee.
  4. 5 * ~750k = £3.75m So if we get 11th with the new tv money added to that as well thats gotta be worth a total of what? 60m?......WOW! Am looking forward to see how this team performs without the threat of relegation looming over it actually. Also what PL will do now we're "Bentekeless"... Gotta be Bent & Weimann i guess The new TV prize money comes through at the end of next season, not up front at the start. If we can improve our finish next year we will get a bigger chunk of it. Doesn't really matter. If we're 100% owed it, then it goes into the accounts. When it gets paid is only really a matter for the cash-flow enthusiasts (i.e. poor clubs like Pompey). But we don't know how much we will be owed until we know where we finish next season. It would be risky to borrow against the prize money for finishing 8th but only end up finishing 15th and receive half of what we were banking on. TV money is shared out equally is it not? Prize money depends on place but is not as significant.
  5. He must realise how ridiculous his predictions are come then end of the season and teams are safe on 29 points.
  6. Wait Lawro was wrong?? You mean that QPR didn't reach 56 points after 36 games and that Villa were nearly relegated on 26 points?? Madness Lawro's table of lunacy (bottom of page) Edit: well beaten to it. Should have read page 2 before replying.
  7. Wigan play better against 10 men Great insight. This is unusual.
  8. I had 47/1 on bet365 for the treble with a Sunderland draw or win double chance yesterday.
  9. Well it might as well be Villa who are playing, so I'll be watching, probably in agony. This feels like it will be the most I have supported another team.
  10. And yet if you have an accumulator on Wigan win at Arsenal & Wigan win at home to us and a double chance on Sunderland at Spurs you can get 47/1 and that's without looking around. Yeh just put a tenner on the treble. Hopefully I lose my tenner but if not I can have a nice summer not thinking about football.
  11. Fulham are safe actually (we are excluding 10 goal swings in GD) it is literally only between us, Sunderland and Wigan. Wigan must beat Arsenal now or they are down. Sunderland can ensure saftey with a draw away to Spurs if Wigan do win, and then we will need a draw too. It's all simple now.
  12. And 41 points is enough for safety this season. Only we can go down on 40.
  13. Villa, Wigan or Sunderland it is then.
  14. QPR deserve to go into financial meltdown and cease to exit. Shitbags.
  15. Still dont expect QPR to score though
  16. Moments that will define the history of the club? Nah. We're talking about single goals that our Premier League status has literally depended on - Gabby against QPR, Lowton against Stoke.
  17. sounds like he wants a continued role in helping people diagnosed with Leukaemia, rather than any role in football.
  18. He's retired. Club statement on OS.
  19. I'd like to see Newcastle go down purely because they have some decent players that I'd like us to sign see that's a fair enough reason.
  20. Not sure what the obsession with seeing Newcastle relegated is. Surely they bring more to the league than a rugby club with 10k fans and a rent-a-kit stadium. It was the funny the first time of course, but apart from that I don't get it. I don't care either way really, but I'm not really wishing relegation on any of them. Stoke play the worst football so probably they could go if not Wigan, but that might change if Pulis goes.
  21. That definitely won't happen! Why not? Perfectly plausible We draw with Chelsea and lose to Wigan Wigan beat Swansea and us and lose to Arsenal Newcastle beat QPR and lose to Arsenal Norwich beat Baggies and lose to Man citeh Sunderland beat Southampton lose to Spurs Southampton lose to Sunderland beat Stoke Fulham two draws Puts a load of teams on 41 and depending on margin of victory / defeat we go down on GD All of these freakish? I was just joking by saying something definitely won't happen after telling people to stop saying things were definite which weren't.
  22. Not if we lost to Chelsea, as we are the only game on Saturday! But not on Sunday either as Wigan could still top us with 2 wins and so could everyone else with a win on the last day, even if they all lost on Sunday.
