    Okay, but in the 2nd half we essentially didn't have to defend, so playing Bannan was fine, but starting a game we will need that DM we've been crying out for and so Sylla must start. If you go with that and Gabby/Dawkins are interchangeable like I said then we are in agreement . In fact I doubt Dawkins would start this one anyway.

    Not Weimann, no, who should start every game with Benteke. I'd be happy with Gabby or Dawkins on one side and Zog on the other. I think Dawkins would add a suprise element and bringing on Gabby 2nd half or later is effective with his pace.

    Fair enough about Dunne if true, last I heard was a 'fresh setback' and talk of him being out for the season. But how much rest does a keeper need? And he has been rested recently with the 2 cup games.

    Aston Villa newcomers Yacouba Sylla and Simon Dawkins have been included in the squad for tomorrow's trip to Everton. Midfielder Sylla was signed from French Ligue 2 side Clermont Foot, while winger Dawkins has joined on loan from Tottenham.

    Won't the transfer fee effectively go to pay off Warnock's remaining contract i.e. in the player's pocket? So instead of them paying us £1m transfer fee and us paying him £1m to terminate the contract (value of 6 months at £40k per week), it just cuts out the middle man. That's what I had assumed.

    I don't have the stats to back this up, but it really feels to me like we score more goals per minute/game when Bent is not playing this season, since he's not being used properly. I would certainly rather have Wiemann on at the moment.
