  1. This is an an absolute shambolic finishing display and make no mistake. Shocking stuff.
  2. I genuinely think Mings is one of the worst players on the ball I've ever seen in the Premier League. I reminds me of when you would put a goalkeeper as an outfield player on Pro Evo back in the day.
  3. Burnley are absolute shite. So we'll lose 1-0 from here.
  4. It's irritating as **** that we have 3 games in hand looking at the table. I know its for good reason but I hate it.
  5. I used to cycle home a lot when pissed as **** and never had any issues really, in terms of being all over the road or falling off. My point is for him to drive that erratically means he must have been utterly wrecked. Would it surprise me if he was on gear as well? Not at all but at the very least, when coked up, you wouldnt be making those mistakes after a skinfull so I believe he was "only" drunk. As for leaving the scene, obviously from a moral standpoint its the wrong thing to do but as no-one was injured and the ban and fine would have been 10 times worse had he stayed, it was the right thing to do to get his ass out of there. A broken clock is right twice a day.
  6. I just saw the video of him crashing his Range Rover into parked cars. He must have been hammered to be that reckless. Shocking stuff really. With all the money and flash cars these guys drive, why they risk their careers by drink driving is incredible to me. I pretty much would pay a driver all the time unless I was just blasting around for fun if I had that money. On the pitch he makes all the right decisions and for the most part, makes the right ones with his interviews and general behaviour. Except when he's had a drink where he seems a be a complete liability. If this doesnt make him wise up then nothing will. However £80k is ludicrous. How its legal to fine rich people more is a disgrace. That's why we have bans. No matter how rich you are, you drive when banned then you could go to jail, same for everyone. Ant McPartlin got that monster fine too, just because he's rich.
  7. NOW they are. At the time we were cruising towards a comfortable win. They they scored and I was like "oh ffs Villa, why do you do this to me? ". For once we had a happy ending at Wembley
  8. Yes because the last 10 years has been nothing but joy for Villa fans. We're all saddled with this team for life. I can take not winning trophies and being mediocre but I dont ever want to experience stuff like the last 5 mins of that playoff final where I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I never want to suffer relegation again.
  9. Yes like we did in 2009. It's not about turning our noses up because we think we're too good for it. It's because being in that competition has no discernible benefits whatsoever. People can stamp their feet all they like but we've "turned our noses up" at the League and FA Cups many times in the last 20 years. Wake up gentleman, all that matters for now is staying in the Premier League.
  10. Sevilla are a freak of nature and as I said, the only time the Europa League is useful is if you win it, something they are masters at. The Europa League isn't progress. It's a detriment. Remind me how bombing out to Rapid Vienna twice in two years made progress. If it wasnt for Darren Bent, we would have been relegated 6 months later.
  11. And look at them now. Languishing in mid-table with their star players no doubt on the brink of requesting transfers.
  12. Beating Ajax at home in a Europa League group stage game was one of the best VP moments of your life? An Ajax side who finished 3rd in the Dutch league? We limped through the group then sent the kids to Russia to get knocked out. That was over a decade ago, it's even worse now. The Europa League is only of any use if you win it and with our horrendous European record in the PL era, its fair to say that we won't get anywhere near doing that. Only 32k people turned up to that Ajax game so for the most part, the fans dont give a shit.
  13. Who can forget those great Villa European nights like losing at home MSK Zilina in a half empty stadium with Salifou, Osborne and Delfouneso starting. Halcyon days at the Villa.
  14. Oh yeah, nothing Jack wants more than to be carted off to deepest darkest Eastern Europe to play FC Whogivesashit on Thursday nights. It's a pox of a competition to everyone involved.
  15. Relegation is pretty much a non entity at this point although it isnt quite off the table of course. However I think there's about a 0.01% chance of it happening. However I absolutely do not want us to qualify for the Europa League under any circumstance. Well unless we win the Cup. Having our squad stretched thin by that nonsense of a competition is the last thing we need. I dont think we'll finish that high but its certainly not a target we should be trying to achieve.
  16. These smash and grab late winners more than make up for the shocking Brighton and West Ham results. A real roller coaster of a season so far, impossible to predict what result we'll get!
  17. Saying I was happy for Nyland to fill in whilst Heaton was out and that we didnt need another keeper was probably the worst take I've ever made on this forum
  18. I genuinely believe hes a world class keeper. Quite literally won us 3 points today. That shot goes in 5 mins from the end, Wolves lock us out and take the win. Arsenal are absolute idiots for letting him go.
  19. Its annoying he probably wont be on the pitch when we get a lot of pens this season as we have needed a clinical taker for years.
