  1. Why do we get double points there or something? And did you reallyy just say Helenius was a good signing? LOL! Like Kozak, he done very little wrong with limited time. Lawlzocopter.
  2. Arsenal haven't really got going yet, one win and three draws. I reckon we could mug them just like we did with Liverpool. There's a lot more manpower in the team this year to cope with pressure. Chelsea I get the feeling will hit us with a few goals unless Costa goes off form or gets injured. I don't think the way Senderos knocked Belotelli will work on Costa, he's less likely to sulk and more likely to give what he gets. Man City will be tough as we're the home team, Stoke beat them with a smash and grab but I don't think those tactics work as well as a home side. Stranger things have happened and we do seem to pull the odd result against them. Everton are there for the taking as far as I'm concerned. They have a busy fixture list, although they do have their first week off in a while before us. The run of competitions will increase risk to fatigue/injuries and I don't think their squad has enough depth to really trouble us if they lose a key player. I'd happily take a few points from this run, any more wins and I'll be delighted.
  3. Not to mention going to Anfield and getting something three times in a row.
  4. So being heavily constrained by budget shows Lamberts managerial deficiencies? I'd like to see what he could do with a bit of cash to be fair. Sure, don't let me get in the way of your axe grinding.
  5. El Ahmadi - grand Lowtown - grand Vlaar - grand Bennett -meh Bowery -meh Westwood - grand Benteke - great Sylla - meh Luna - meh Helenius -grand Tonev -meh Bacuna -grand Okore - TBD Kozak - grand Steer - TBD but probably grand Senderos - grand Cole - grand Richardson -grand Cissokho - grand Sanchez - TBD Good return if you ask me. What's the total spend since he got here?
  6. Keep them both then. I agree, I believe Keane has had an effect on the team. A number of times in post match interviews players have talked about working on tactics during training. It's entirely possible that Lambert has a great understanding of tactics but is just terrible at passing this knowledge on. Keane might be much better at communicating tactics with players in training. I know what I'm doing in my own job but damned if I could explain it in somewhat laymans terms at times.
  7. No way does Lambert deserve a contract extension. Being Lerner's lacky gimp is not a reason for a new contract and Lerner should not lumber any new owner with this millstone! So, let's say the end of the season brings no new ownership. Lerner is still in charge and Lamberts contract is running out, you'd rather let it run out and go on the hunt for a replacement that would more than likely be someone like Allerdyce, Bruce, Pulis etc than hold on to a manager who is doing alright considering the circumstances? Anyone who says the circumstances doesn't excuse the poor form at times and the inconsistency needs to wise up. The club spent less than any of the recently promoted teams this summer and is performing well above expectations, I mean WELL above expectations. It's a long season but a great start that should help us avoid a relegation battle this year. To think of getting rid of Lambert after 3 years of digging is the bargain bin, battling inconsistency, young players not being able to recover from defeats and injuries. There's no other manager that I can think of that would do any better in the same circumstances. There really isn't.
  8. Sign him up for a few more years. This club has lacked consistency in terms of management. All you have to do is look at Fergusons first few seasons at Man Utd, they were inconsistent for a few years and started to level out. Moyes was the same at Everton, it took him a few seasons to settle and get the squad he wanted. Time and time again, having a bit of consistency in management seems to serve most teams well. The last thing we need is to be getting rid of Lambert and replacing him with someone who's going to just start from scratch again. Pointless.
  9. He later posted https://twitter.com/LFCRelated/status/510847508537679872 LOL
  10. Holy shittytits. I didn't expect this start to the season, resolute defending. Brilliant work rate. Once Benteke and Kozak are back we can really hurt teams. Hopefully Grealish comes into the fold as the season wears on and helps prevent stagnation.
  11. Keano looked delighted. Good sign. Excellent start but missing Vlarr and dealing with Balotelli is going to be difficult.
  12. Possible to splice this into an off-topic thread? It's an interesting subject that raises it's head from time to time. Also, great to hear that he wants to stay and that Lambert and Keano are supporting and helping him develop.
  13. Roy? Since when was he the decision maker on who plays?
  14. It's probably along the lines of "Rodgers has long been a fan of Delph" then go on to talk about him as if he was playing at some top 4 club with speculation thrown in here or there and the occasional what it would be like if he were playing alongside whatever overpriced superstar.
  15. If the Club is pathetic then why....? I'm not going to even bother.
  16. The Daily Star should stick to printing pictures of topless women.
  17. Guzan Hutton, Vlaar, Senderos, Cissokho Sanchez,Westwood Grealish, Delph, Gabby Benteke Could be a tasty one, with Gabby and Grealish switching wings.
