You want to hope their respective teams get knocked out of the ACON's quickly as well. Players come back from these tournaments physically and mentality exhausted. Just look at Ronaldo and Griezmann this season, way off their respective top levels. Haven't seen Pepe all season either. And lets face it, playing for their country in the ACON means a lot more to them then playing for us.

This. Thought it would be better in The Championship but the crowds down there are just as dead/sanitised as the Premier League. Take some Diazepam or other sedative. Put lots of nice relaxing songs on your phone (that are available offline). Watch loads of Aircrash Investigation shows....this helps as it shows how much of a freak occurrence planes coming down are, and that they never due to turbulence. Then just chill. Comfort is key. Turbulence does not bother me as I know what it is. My worst nightmare is actually having screaming kids or a bunch of drunks on a plane, this would make me unsettled and nervous. Or worst still someone knocking the back of my seat, this would almost certainly result in an air-rage incident/decapitation. All that said, you still wouldn't get me on one of those shitty little planes with propellers.

The last away game we won all those years ago before I had 5 kids and no grey hairs we weren't great in either. I'll save the celebrations until we start playing well and winning away. Well if we had access to the running stats vs other teams this would sort that debate out. We certainly seem to be lacking pace. We bought players that spent a lot of time not playing last season because of injuries and/or player that are in or approaching their 30's. We looked good in the beginning because teams were given us respect, the fear factor. That soon went out the window when it was realised we are shit. So £50 million spunked out the window. If I was Tony I would cut my losses now and not put another penny in, gamble failed just like Lerner.
