    Not too bothered about the result am bothered if we played shiit again which it sounds like we did. It seems the excuse for losing any friendly is we are "not upto fitness" or "the other team are more advanced in their fitness schedule". This was wheeled out vs Chelsea who start the season the same time as us!! I'm usually quite positive but it sounds like a season of excuses awaits...

    I agree we need more but it's a start. I've just read his wiki page the 'insomnia' incident I found very amusing and is why he ended up at a small club like Wigan!

    The ITK's were rightly ridiculed after their part in the managerial disaster. Maybe we should sell Bent for 35 million then start again with a clean slate and 150 million investment. Houllier would have won us the league with that much.

    Hmm, what a surprise! Our fans are claiming it was more than 20 million and Pool fans claiming it was less! They are saying 16.5 with 3.5 mill add-ons.

    I think you need to drastically reduce your expectations to avoid disappointment.

    My main concern is not Downing leaving (Ash much bigger loss) but how and where any funds will be spent. I'm not overly optimistic on the potential replacements Mcleish is going to bring in. Some of the names being banded about are just plain scary.

    Think it'll be done over the weekend along with the Downing deal to pool. Wigan's local rag are saying we're the main runners for him and that's probably the most reliable source at the moment.

    Well our admin team are back in tomorrow so hopefully we can get things moving. Yes, astonishingly according to MK our admin team along with the players have been away and aren't back until tomorrow hence the lack of any transfer activity. What a circus we have become.

    The guy on SSN has the inside track. The 2million compo is TRUE The legal situation in very simplistic terms: They can't prove we tapped him up. Although it can't be proved it looks very dodgy on our part. (we obviously did tap him up btw) So it goes through a long legal process ending up at some court who will hear the arguments for and against but as it's a grey area and to be "fair" we will end up having to pay them compo , but not the full amount they want. Henceforth we have the 2 million out of court settlement to save all this b0llocks.

    Remember Roy at Liverpool they were only getting 35k for some matches. Mcleish's position is untenable already. Randy is going to get sick of Faulkner calling him all the time to sort out the riots at VP.
