  1. Please Villa, chuck us a scrap of a transfer rumour . Any spurious old shite will do - we're running on fumes here!
  2. Literally cannot wait for the level of saltiness from City fans and journos when Jack signs a new contract at Villa. It’s going to be epic.
  3. Still 2 years left on his contract so I wouldn’t be surprised if he neither signed a new contract nor was sold this year if they can’t come to an agreement. Arsenal have frequently run down player contracts till the last year left. Not necessarily a good tactic but it is something they do. Emile will really need to agitate if he can’t agree a contract, doesn’t want to stay on the same contract for another year, and therefore wants to be sold.
  4. To be fair pretty much all the major manufacturers produce as many crap kits as good. Literally every year one or more of the big six are ridiculed for their bad kits and they can presumably attract the best manufacturers and designers. Think about the horrific Man Utd black and white 'dazzle' away kit from last year or Man City's cracked glass home kit or Arsenals blood splatter away kit. Mostly awful designs that prove that changing manufacturer does not make you safe from crap kit designs. Who would have thought that the nonentity of Luke / Fanatics would produce the best kit designs for 10 years.
  5. No worse than the last 2 Kappa efforts in my view. But that is damning with faint praise as all the Kappa kits have been sh*te in my opinion. Looking forward to someone else having a go next year.
  6. Bid is preparing. Should be ready to go in 4 weeks. These things take time.
  7. After the initial disappointment of Jack not getting more minutes during the tournament I think I am at peace with this now. Jack is still getting to play most games and contribute and he is limiting his minutes given that he has just recovered from injury. In some ways he doesn’t fit the Southgate Plan A system but he has proven to be a good game changer / super sub. If he comes on and scores in the final then it will be perfect.
  8. Important breaking update from Football.London: Who says real journalism is dead? Shocked and appalled to find out this story is from the same media group as the prestigious Birmingham Mail!
  9. You don’t have to be biased to see that Jack doesn’t press as well as other players in that team. It’s pretty obvious when you watch him play for England and compare his pressing to others on the pitch. He just isn’t as good at charging down players and putting them under pressure. No shame in that, he does stuff that the others can only dream of. No different than the fact he isn’t has good at pressing as Watkins or Trez for villa. If Southgate has an ‘agenda’ against Grealish I think that’s all it is. He thinks he can only play Grealish when the press can relax a bit, like when we are chasing a goal. The fact he is being used as a sub when we are chasing games shows Southgate still appreciates Jack’s attacking talents.
  10. Emi, Dougie, Jack and Tyrone proving you can reach the international pinnacle playing for villa. It’s a hell of a sales pitch for potential new signings.
  11. This is going to be the most well prepared bid in premier league history! It simply cannot fail.
  12. Could see them selling ESR and buying Maddison or another with the proceeds. I don’t suppose their fans would be moaning for long if that transpired.
  13. Everybody, including the press and villa management, are enjoying trolling Arsenal fans?
  14. It must be tempting for them. Most clubs will likely low-ball and nickel and dime for their unwanted high wage players but we have rocked up with £30m+, probably all paid upfront, for a youth product who is not even a garenteed starter for them. Wonder if they will blink first.
  15. The fact we are bidding multiple times for ESR suggests our scouting team are really excited about him. I hope we can pull this off as they have a pretty good hit rate so far on our signings. I didn't watch Arsenal enough this year to form an opinion on him personally. Arsenal were one of the few teams I would actively switch off (along with Wolves) as their style is just so unwatchable.
  16. He’s got to play more as a CM for me. I think we have seen enough now to know he is not going to be a great DM but I think his carrying, passing and shooting could make him a good CM option. Let’s see another DM through the door and push Dougie further up the field please!
  17. No way will he be coming to villa to be second string to Watkins and we won’t be spunking £40m on a second string option anyway. Non starter from both sides. West Ham would be stupid not to fork out for Tammy in my view. I think he’d do well for them and suit their system. He needs the move as well personally to keep his career moving forward.
  18. It looks fine. Forgettable if anything but no worse than the last 2 seasons in my view. The Kappa Kits have been crap in general and I can’t wait until there contract is up.
  19. I think this one is dead in the water. Arsenal won’t sell even if Smith-Rowe refuses to sign a contract this summer. He still has 2 years left on his deal so it’s not critical. And they definitely won’t sell to a rival regardless. Arsenal are bad at negotiating a contract but ultimately they know Smith-Rowe is the future of the club and it’s likely he’ll be there leading the line for a few years yet.
  20. Absolute wild card this guy. A great asset to the squad when you need some magic to unlock a defence, bamboozle a goalie and leave everyone wondering WTF just happened. Not sure he’s the one you need when you need to bust a gut chasing a good opposition with a lot of possession and applying the high press. Horses for course though. He definitely has his part to play next season.
  21. Want. Imagine winning a set piece and having an actual chance of it leading to a goal…just imagine!
  22. I feel if Grealish was leaving it would have happened by now. Reports saying Man City will wait till after the Euros to make a bid…well that’s too bloody late in my opinion. It will be less than a month till the season starts at that point and I don’t feel like the club management will choose to disadvantage ourselves like that for the new season. If Grealish was leaving it should have been agreed week 1 in the window so we can prepare. Purslow doesn’t seem the type to let things things drift and happen outside of our control, and we all know we don’t need the cash. Therefore I think there’s nothing in these rumours.
  23. Reminder that Wes Eden's Milwaukee Bucks were linked to lose their star player before... Lets see a Grealish headline like this in the near future please.
