BOF Posted October 6, 2013 Author Moderator Share Posted October 6, 2013 What a game. If the Cowboys play like that for the rest of the season they'll be more than fine.

rhyscartwright_avfc
Just shows we need Von and Champ back though. Harris and Woodyard massive misses too. At least we've got Jacksonville next week. 6-0 without Von and Champ is amazing really.

kurtsimonw
Peyton Manning was the 2nd best QB in a game that involved Tony Romo. What a loser.

BOF Posted October 7, 2013 Author Moderator Share Posted October 7, 2013 I think people are being very harsh on Romo over that interception. Manning threw a pick aswell. The nature of our offence meant the Cowboys had to run plays that were higher risk in order to keep up. They did that and they did it successfully for 99% of the game. They were fantastic in fairness. That they were even within touching distance at all was almost entirely down to Romo. He had an individual game that will go into the history books. His history book, Dallas' history book and the NFLs. Actually, considering the long-range plays they were choosing, it's a wonder we hadn't picked them off at all up to that point. I did feel it would come and I was happy when it did, but I think Romo deserves nothing but credit for that game. Their defence won't be playing Manning every week and their offence should still be able to do something like what they did last night. It wouldn't surprise me if that game kickstarts them into another gear from here onwards.
kurtsimonw
It's still typical Romo though. Play really well - until it comes down to a win or lose situation. He's good enough to win Dallas games, but he's also a big enough choker that he'll keep bad teams in close games with them.
BOF Posted October 7, 2013 Author Moderator Share Posted October 7, 2013 They should take that play-calling into their next game and see what happens.
Dante_Lockhart
Romo played a perfect game for 58 minutes. The defence is to blame for the loss.
