That looks nice;1969 - does that mean it is pre-CBS ?

No, Fender went to CBS in 1965. Still American-built though (unlike the Japanese and Mexican models nowadays).

It was in slightly ropey condition, so I've spent a hundred quid getting it overhauled. Guitar tech reckons it's worth between £1000 and £1500 - he and his assistant were drooling over it.

Plays beautifully.

We've got an upright piano now. Being an ignorant guitarist, I thought, I'll pick it up.

But it ain't half frustrating starting from zilch again. Clunking away. Making mistakes. Starting again. Making a mistake. Damn, it's going take some commitment to find my way around a piano to a standard I'll be happy with. My book peaks on fur elise.

I recently picked up an i rig pro. It allows me to play my guitars through my I pad with every effect I could want. My amp is now redundant!

There's also a brilliantly simple app I use through my iPad called "Loopy HD" which is great for little jams on your own.

A boss loop pedal costs around £60. This app cost about £3.

Time for a VT band? :D

Given the wide range of people's tastes, it would probably be several bands - but that's actually quite a good idea. I could do with some bass/drums/keyboards for my rather rudimentary guitar/vocal demos.
