villaajax
Twenty20 is bearable to have on in the background as it only lasts an afternoon.
dAVe80
They get to play England now. It would not surprise me at all if they beat them again.
Xela
There's something grimly fascinating about death. I never go looking for that kind if stuff but I struggle not to look if I'm presented with it. It's so extreme and unimaginable for me and I just can't imagine what is going through the minds if both killer and victim at the time. It seems so far removed from everything I know but in reality, stuff like that is happening en masse, all the time. Crazy. I know what you mean. I saw a few of the grim videos years ago and its horrifying. Like you, I can't imagine what is going on in the killer's and victim's minds at the time. Very disturbing. Wish i'd never watched them as I'd like to live in ignorance that this type of thing never happens
thetrees
Just driving by Antigua airport on the way back from a meeting and Michael Ashcroft's $50m private jet went straight over my head. At that moment I thought immediately of Drat and my other favourite VT lefties. VT certainly affects me in strange ways

mjmooney Posted March 21, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted March 21, 2014 (edited) Just as I read the last two posts, that song was playing as background on a tv program. Edited March 21, 2014 by mjmooney
Stevo985 Posted March 21, 2014 Author VT Supporter Share Posted March 21, 2014 Twenty20 is bearable to have on in the background as it only lasts an afternoon. I'd rather take a cricket bat to the balls than sit through a 20-20 game

CarewsEyebrowDesigner
They really should just cancel cricket and put another sport in its place. Kabaddi, perhaps.
coda
I've been to one cricket match in my life (good day, got drunk) and you can't tell what's happening. You can't see the ball and the action is too far away.
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
If you want to watch a sport and not have a clue what is going on, watch Hurling. The sport itself is easy, but bloody hell, it is hard to keep pace with it.
coda
I've seen a hurling match as well. There was an ambulance in attendance because players were always getting their heads cut open.

But then we appear to have lost nearly all our South Africans......

villaajax
So what if the Dutch team is South African? South Africa is Dutch or Zuid Afrika as we say.
