OutByEaster? Posted March 26, 2022 Moderator Share Posted March 26, 2022 Ricciardo is havign a bit of a mare here - looks like he'll have two penalties - he's running 12th, but I have a feeling he'll be starting a lot further back.

Kuwabatake Sanjuro
Besides all the human rights abuses and mass murder in Yemen this is not a safe circuit for F1, with the speed and the amount of concrete walls there is serious risk for those drivers.

OutByEaster? Posted March 26, 2022 Moderator Share Posted March 26, 2022 It's a track that represents the values of Qatar.
OutByEaster? Posted March 26, 2022 Moderator Share Posted March 26, 2022 You've got to admire whoever it is next to the scene of the accident desperately waving two yellow flags next to the tractor trying to lift the car. Relax mate, we get the picture.

It's an aero issue not being able to used the power due to the car porpoising. Basically they cannot stop the air from stalling underneath the car, which is causing the bouncing and bad aero. So why is Russell so much faster? The engine power bit was as joke but is the new fuel causing Mercs an issue?
OutByEaster? Posted March 26, 2022 Moderator Share Posted March 26, 2022 Thankfully it sounds like Mick is alright. Fair play to Bottas by the way for stopping and getting out of his car to try to help.

The engine power bit was as joke but is the new fuel causing Mercs an issue? Not sure, all I know about is the aero problem. The car was ready to go with the previous set up, I.e standard body style with side pods. But they decided on this body style and have been having problems with it ever since, due to how the air flows underneath the car.

OutByEaster? Posted March 26, 2022 Moderator Share Posted March 26, 2022 Oooh - Perez getting pole will be a nuisance but there are at least two Ferrari's starting ahead of the baby. Sets it up nicely.
