Thai people are generally really nice too, especially when you consider that everyone is over there flashing dough around and shagging their women. You could argue it was a cheap shot but the word removed was apparently prepared to take on all-comers and he wasn't attacked from behind. It was a legitimate shot from someone "who wanted it". After all, he'd made the offer! Make a threat like that and you had better be ready for someone to "dig you out", as he would doubtless say.
