There's been very little Erdogan talks to Putin recently

Erdogan has probably realised where the war is going and has started to withdraw. Expect Turkey to send some Leopards any day now.

Erdogan is a genius.   He has managed to maintain reasonable relations with all sides.

He's sending weapons to Ukraine to kill Russians at the same time as Russia is talking about building a gas hub in Turkey.

Another video has come out today of the Russians trying to build a bridge in Vodyane, where Ukrainian units take out something like 13 BMP's including crew in a few hours. These losses aren't sustainable for Russia..

I won't post the video, but it's on Combatfootage on Reddit. The UAF units there are marine units, so they're using really old towed guns, the accuracy they seem to possess is of a level which indicate lots of practice..

Erdogan is too busy rigging the upcoming elections in Turkey. Despite destroying the entire Turkish economy will idiotic policies he'll win in a landslide. No doubt even the dead will be voting for him.

According to Ukraine.......

Russia fired 55 Missiles at Ukraine today.

47 were shot down.

3 fell harmlessly.

The other 5 hit nothing of military value.

Its exactly like the Fuhrer Bunker.   These wonder weapons will turn the tide of the war.

A good 20 plus of those missiles were indeed the wunderwaffe hypersonic Kinzhal missiles fired from aircraft

That might have changed since yesterday given that Russia attacked a Turkish flagged ship in port

In the Western part of Ukraine 15 out of 15 $13 million a piece Kizhal missiles were shot down. They were headed for central Kyiv, likely to try to end Zelensky before he gets the upper hand. The Iris-T system is working in tandem with the NASAMS in Kyiv, nothing is getting through. I wonder if Putin is following these launches in his bunker and hoping for hits, and then gets really sad when everything is destroyed?

Russia is a terrorist state.

Edit: turns out it was more.

Turkey controls the Black Sea.  That has greater than ever significance since Finland and Sweden joined NATO.

St Petersburg is now useless as a naval base.  NATO can shut the Gulf of Finland from both sides.  Anything getting through there faces attackson all sides until it reaches the straits of Denmark.  Then it meets the Royal Navy and Royal Airforce.

Murmansk is often clogged with ice. Canada has extensive anti ship and anti submarine capacity in the area.

Murmansk's land supply route is one road and one rail track that run along Finland's border through forests and mountains.  Its also an area that Finland considers to have been stolen from them.  1,000 angry Finish Snipers and Special Forces operating there should be ample.

The Mediterranean is controlled by Spain in the West and anything in the Suez Canal is going to be fairly easy to spot.

It warms your heart.

Indiscriminate firing of missiles into civilians is the last desperate tactics of a tyrant similar to Hitler and the V2.

No tactics just blindly hitting out at soft targets....the mark of a bullyboy

That might be on a slight hold since our lovely Danish/Swedish friend Paludan decided to burn a few more Qurans outside the Turkish embassy in Stockholm. Turkey and a more or less the entire Muslim world are a bit miffed

I think so.  They abandoned their own guy because they were scared of their own tank.

Nah they abandoned their own because that's what they do. I've seen at least 4 videos just today of Russian soldiers running past (or even over) their own wounded comrades, one even moved the wounded man out of the way so he could escape down the trench. It has been a very common theme throughout that the Russians leave their wounded behind

It's fairly academic.  The US and the UK signed a treaty with Sweden and Finland giving them our protection until they joined NATO.

If Russia attacks Finland,  the US and UK attack Russia. The US and UK would then seek NATO assistance which would be forthcoming from everyone with the possible exception of Turkey.

Strictly speaking, I don't think so, quite. I think "if Russia attacks Finland, NATO will come directly to their aid in countering any such attacks" - it wouldn't necessarily mean attacking Russia(n soil), more likely Russian forces doing the aggression. Pedantry I know.
