Feels like a hail Mary, non of the guys they wanted were interested for various reasons so they went with Mellberg. Thought he should be due to not playing for the senior side but since he made an active choice to go from the Swedish U-21 to the Danish one he's supposedly effed. Swedish FA are trying thou. A manager from another nation I understand for smaller nations or developing football nations. And I rarely follow our national team anyway. Didn't even know he picked Olsen. sne Posted March 25 Share Posted March 25 Seen some awful performances in the last couple years in the Swedish national side but the 60 minutes today that Samuel Gustafsson delivered against Albania was something else. I don't think he managed to do a single thing right. Might be OK for him to stay in Japan and save him the travel for the next internationals.
