Playoffs: Divisional Round

Barring a miracle, Peyton Manning will fall to 11-13 in the playoffs, including nine one-and-dones.

Never really too sure why there's much of a Brady v Manning debate, to be honest.

Yeah me either. Manning was much better than Brady. Belicheck is what makes Brady (see Cassell, Bledsoe,) manning was an offensive co-ordinator on the field. It's sad to see his body fail him now and he should retire otherwise he could taint his legacy. As for his playoff record, Tony Dungy's terrible "bend but don't break" Colts defences are the main reason that playoff record is so poor. How many years did the colts concede a lot of points and a huge number of rushing yards meaning that manning had to score 30+ points to win the playoff game.

Still very baffled about that "performance"

Why? You could see it coming, Denver started the season well but it's been downhill recently. You need to peak in December not in September.

Oh no, a loss I can take. That performance was something else and not one you could see coming.

We did poorly against Bengals and Rams. This was way WAY worse than those two. The other losses were good performances but against very good teams.

Complete myth. Peyton playoff losses

v Titans, 19-16. Peyton - 45% completion, 227 yards

@ Dolphins, 23-17. Peyton - 53% compleition, 194 yards, 1 TD

@ Jets, 41-0. Peyton - 45% completion, 137 yards, 2 INTs

@ Patriots, 24-14. Peyton - 48% completion, 237 yards, 1 TD, 4 INTs

@ Patriots, 20-3. Peyton - 64% completion, 238 yards, 1 INT

v Steelers, 21-18. Peyton - 58% completion, 290 yards, 1 TD

v Chargers, 28-24. Peyton - 69% completion, 402 yards, 3 TDs, 2 INTs

@ Chargers, 23-17. Peyton - 59% completion, 310 yards, 1 TD

SB Saints, 31-17. Peyton - 60% completion, 333 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT

v Jets, 17-16. Peyton - 69% completion, 225 yards, 1 TD

v Ravens, 38-35. Peyton - 65% completion, 290 yards, 3 TDs, 2 INTs

SB Seahawks, 43-8. Peyton - 69% completion, 280 yards, 1 TD, 2 INTs

v Colts, 24-13. Peyton - 57% completion, 211 yards, 1 TD

So in 13 losses, the oposition has scored more than 24 points just 5 times.

*@ Jets, 41-0 - Blame is as much on Peyton and the offense for scoring 0 points. Peyton also threw under 150 yards with no TDs and 2 picks.

*v Chargers, 28-24 - Peyton had a good game, though turned it over twice. But overall this is not really on Peyton.

*SB Saints, 31-17 - The game was 24-17 until Peyton threw a pick-6, can't really blame the defense for scores like that.

*v Ravens, 38-35 - Game definitely on the D. Peyton had a good game, though again threw a pick 6.

SB Seahawks, 43-8 - Defense sucked, but the offense was equally to blame scoring so few points.

So IMO it's a definite myth that it's on the defense. Peyton only had 5 of 13 losses where he threw 60% or more completions, only 6 games where he threw for more than 250 yards and only 2 games where he threw for multiple TDs. The offense only scored more than 20 points twice, also.

As much as i love the guy you are right, the stats are there he just completely loses it in post season for whatever reason. Break all these records in the regular season and be talked about as one of if not the greatest to step onto the pitch and then from january onwards he looks like the most average QB you'll ever watch.

Belicheck is what makes Brady (see Cassell, Bledsoe,)

Patriots with Belichick and Bledsoe: 5-13

(Yes, the Patriots did go to the Super Bowl with Bledsoe, the year Belichick was the Assistant Head Coach under Parcells)
