Yeah I'm not so sure about Richardson at the moment. I don't think he's played that well, to me he looks like another Holman, lots of hard work but lacks in quality(many times he's had a pass on and he's just kicked it straight out of play). I also thought he would be a bit quicker than he is, he's looked a bit sluggish so far IMO.

I have no worries. I can't remember the last time he played badly for us. He will show up those bunch of wasters.

We have too many midfielders! I would like to see Delph, Westwood, Sanchez and Cleverley all start. Strength in depth feels weird.

I think he's bloody brilliant. Favourite villa player by an absolute mile. But then, I've always had a soft spot for him ever since the Fiorentina game.

Richard, we are 3rd in the league and things are on the up.

Let's be honest, we aren't in a "shit state". We are actually in a very good state, Vlaar is still here, Delph is still here. Our defence is solid. We have a decent sized squad now. Centre midfield looks a bit thin if we get any injuries but we are in a really good position. Any new signings today would've been a bonus.

I can't help but feel deflated. Lambert obviously wanted a couple of players in and he's got none.
