    Fairly unspectacular first half, seems to be the trend in all of today's fixtures though. We've been the better team, Vlaar and particularly Baker looking fairly solid.

    I read somewhere a while ago that they always intended to do four or five films, so we could be in for another couple after this one aswell, although if they continue the 9 year thing it'll be 2030 by the time the series ends.

    Highlights of the year so far: My Bloody Valentine - mbv Local Natives - Hummingbird Torres - Torres Yo La Tengo - Fade Haven't got round to listening to the new Kurt Vile record yet but I'm expecting good things. Also just noticed you can stream the new Shouting Matches (another side project from Justin Vernon of Bon Iver) album on NPR so I'll be giving that a listen later.

    I'd like to see Chester and Aurier here. Toulouse have some great prospects, Aymen Abdennour would be a good shout, can play LB or CB, although I imagine there may be bigger clubs in for him. Saint-Ettiene's Kurt Zouma would be another one worth a look from Ligue 1. Also Sochaux's Yaya Banana, just because.

    Apple - I'm pretty sure 3rd gen iPods were programmed to stop working after 6 months, happened to everyone I knew who had one. Haven't bought any Apple products since. McDonald's - Haven't eaten one for nearly 10 years, main reason was because their food tastes like shit. Although having not eaten one in ten years I sometimes think maybe the standard of food there must have improved by now, but I have no desire to find out. Starbucks - I want a coffee not a **** milkshake. And besides the places are usually full of idiots.

    I was actually thinking about this after the Stoke game. I'm not entirely sure 'enjoying' is the right word, but I don't think I've ever celebrated Villa goals the way I have this season because every single time we put the ball in the back of the net is massively important. Though it should be noted I'd rather never see us in this position again.

    This is how I have it going into the last game of the season: That's with us getting DLWDL in the next five games. What I'd give for that scenario, however I still have the feeling it's going to come down to the Wigan game.
