at the end of my first Villa season I tried to sell Downing, ended up offering him out for £2m and still no one was interested. the best way I've found to off-load players is offering them in part-exchange deals, I got decent deals on Rodwell and De Gea by offering Sidwell and Cuellar respectively. haven't had too much trouble with players falling out with me though, if they complain i tend to just use the 'i'm the manager blah blah you're out of line' speech and more often than not they apologize.

Important game against Wycombe (top of the league) on my Bradford City save, and I have 6 first team players away on international duty.. On a side note I have Andy Weimann and Nathan Baker on loan and they've both been immense in League 2.

on my game Gary Neville became West Brom manager, i got a news item saying he was on the verge of being sacked before he'd even taken charge of a single game. two and a half seasons into my save & i don't think any teams have the same manager they started with, and Liverpool have been through four different managers. so many bugs in this game, currently every time i win a cup game, no matter which round of the cup it is, i get a news item saying 'Aston Villa lift _____ cup trophy'. my star striker out of the blue for no discernable reason dropped to 'very low' morale and has stayed that way for 3 months now despite the rest of the team all being on very good/superb and his personal page saying he's 'very happy playing at the club'. and yesterday i missed five penalties in one game (one in ET, four in the shoot-out). frustrating.

gotta love regens: shame he's useless.

so many managers getting sacked, and the ones not getting sacked are always 'under pressure'. 15 games into my second season, Arsenal are top of the PL and unbeaten then out of the blue Wenger gets sacked and replaced by MON. EDIT: first game in charge MON plays a 4-4-2 and loses 3-0.

good to see Curtis Davies is awesome again! i'll never forget my FM10 season where he bagged 18 PL goals (all from corners). and interesting that Gabby is the only player in the game with 20 on both Acceleration and Pace. stupid amount of own goals in this years game though, and the number of CCCs i'm missing is ridiculous.

if last night was anything to go by (assuming Gabby & SI are fit) I think we may see something along the lines of: -------------- Friedel ---------------- Young - Cuellar - Collins - Warnock ------- Reo-Coker - Petrov --------- -------------- Ireland ---------------- ---- Gabby - Heskey - Young ------ I'd also prefer us not to revert back to 4-4-2. in Ash & Ireland (our best player and our only summer transfer) we have two players who seem to prefer playing in positions that 4-4-2 doesn't cater for.
