that many new players are going to take time to gel, check your assistant's feedback before a game and if it says players are still blending into the squad, or there are problems with the language barrier, then that's probably why you're losing. make sure Match Preparation is on Team Blend. as for player roles i'm not sure about Adebayor but Benzema plays well as a Trequartista, you could try having Benzema as a Trequartista (in the ST position) & Adebayor as a Poacher. how is your defence set up?

just about to start my 7th Villa season. did pretty well last season, won the PL by 1 point over Man Utd (now managed by Pep Guardiola) and racked up 115 goals in the process, won the FA Cup, but lost 2-1 in the Champion's League final to a 10 man Real Madrid. got offered the France job after they didn't do so well in Euro 2016 and i accepted, never been much of a fan of international management but thought i'd give it a go anyway. pretty quiet transfer window: no players in, sold Albrighton for £12.5m & Walker for £13.5m. got a £30m offer for Akinfeev from Inter and accepted (i have a pretty decent regen as back-up) but the deal fell through due to them not being able to sign more than 1 non-EU player. and in other news Barcelona just bought Khouma Babacar for £83m, think that's the highest transfer fee i've seen on this game.

Reject the request, player will say he's unhappy, usually if they are young enough telling them 'Prove to me on the pitch you deserve it' will keep them happy. At the end of the transfer window sign them up to a contract for the longest time possible (normally 4.5 or 5 years). that's what i usually do, but after a while you can't reject the requests. the frustrating part is that i have actually offered the guy a contract that he's considering, yet the agent is still requesting i offer him a contract. it only happens with players that are in quite high demand when you have a few clubs continually making bids, it just bugs the agent into constantly requesting a new contract even if you've offered one. i have two tactics that i use, my starting strategy which is quite attacking, and then another tactic with the same formation but with lower mentality, shorter passing & less creative freedom that i switch to to hold a lead. the AI seem to become pretty motivated after going a goal down sometimes so it's useful to have a more cautious strategy to switch to, and it makes it more difficult for them to get used to your style of play. i also have a slightly tweaked version of my main tactic that i use for away games or games against the big teams.

getting annoyed with agents now. a club makes an offer for one of my players, i reject it, and the player's agent demands a new contract, so i offer a new contract. then a club makes another offer for the player, i reject it, and the player's agent demands a new contract, despite the fact the player is still considering the one i've already offered.

Sarpong is also a regen: could turn out to be some player if he keeps on improving.

yeah, all the changes to things like the match engine will take affect, it just won't have things like the updated transfers or player stats.

agree with that, with my current tactic before the patch i was averaging 15-30% cross completion in games. first game post-patch and it was above 50%.
