  1. Have to say he was probably the most inept appointment I have ever seen down VP. Didn't see one single thing that would make me think he actually knew what he was doing. I suspect we will look back in five years time and will think it was ridiculous that he ever managed a club of our size.
  2. Well the board have an extra hour tonight should they need it to sack the useless f#@ker
  3. I like Jack - he'll be a top talent - but what has he done so far that anyone else hasn't? From the top of my head, I can remember one goal (Leicester, this season) and one assist (Liverpool, semi-final). He's had some decent performances and some crap ones. He's basically been in exactly the same boat as "other players". I think he'll go on to be a lot better than most of what we currently have, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with protecting a young lad in the early stages of his career. Lambert (FWIW) managed it pretty perfectly. Sherwood thrust him in immediately and bigged him up (fair play Timmy) and we get media coverage over the summer and a more drained, less sharp Grealish so far this season. Playing every minute of every game isn't necessarily for the best when you're a 19 year old kid. Andy Gray.....Brian little.....Gary Shaw......Gareth Barry.......Trevor Francis......Wayne Rooney Alan shearer........... If you are good enough, you are old enough. That statement refers to the quality of a player. Jack is still developing. Yes he is young but he really shouldn't be playing every game at his age, not down to lack of ability, but to preserve him physically and most importantly mentally. it was said.... it doesn't do you much good playing every game at 19......didn't do them much harm Shaw and Little had their careers ended early by injury, so define harm!
  4. A good (experienced) manager would have got us 3 points at Leicester, a point at Palace and probably a point at home against Sandwell which would have had us sitting 16th. How can people not see that a half decent manager will make a big difference to where we finish this season?
  5. Agree that it was another good episode for Homeland.
  6. I have my blog up and running at the moment with my initial impressions of Samsung Smartthings up and running if its of interest to anyone. I wont post a direct link as I am not sure if it breaks any rules.
  7. In Marshmallow you cannot swipe up to get to Google Now............strange decision.
  8. He has clearing in the woods written all over him and with an IQ as low as his I wouldn't be surprised to find out he is a Small Heath fan..................
  9. Marshmallow updated on my Nexus 5 but nothing yet on my 9
  10. I have had A Nest Thermostat and have to say I am pretty pleased with it. The one thing is that Nest being a global product and being owned by Google means that it will always have more potential. Nest have just rolled out their version of Google Weave called Nest Weave which is the platforms that allows all these IOT devices to supposedly speak to one another (a competitor for Apples Homekit) which means it will work with the new Yale Linus Lock which was announced last week and with presumably plenty more to follow. My Nest works with my Philips Hue Lights to come on at night at random times while we are out so it looks like there is someone in. Have a look at the "Works with Nest" website and you can see how many companies are colaborating on the platform. I am at sometime this week receiving a Samsung Smartthings Starter Kit to review and part of it I am supposed to spread the word so will put up a little post about it.
  11. If you look at the current table and take out the Sky favourites and Swansea you are left with the below. Crystal Palace Leicester West Ham Southampton Watford Norwich Stoke Bournemouth West Brom Aston Villa Newcastle I would only rank Southampton as being a possible for Rodgers as the rest will never match his ego or like Newcastle are a poisoned challis. If he wants to manage a big club then its either us or Newcastle.
  12. Have you got next week's lottery numbers? Or are you privvy to what Tom Fox is thinking because you're saying that with a seemingly high degree of certainty as to what he will/won't do. Time will tell if I am right. I hope I am wrong and he acts quickly.
  13. Have you got next week's lottery numbers? Yes I do
  14. Fear the walking dead.............what a load of utter tripe
  15. Not as good as many people say he is. He wont act now despite all the evidence, he will dither until the job for the next man is impossible and anyone of quality will rule themselves out. Tim was his call while Lambert wasnt and that is the difference
  16. After watching the Blues game on Sky I don't think I have ever seen Dwight Yorke be so vocal about the performance not being good enough. I got the impression he wasn't a fan of Sherwood.
  17. Lambert had 12 months, experience and Sherwood had 10 games, hardly a lot of premiership experience if you ask me
  18. replacing a manager with limited experience with a manager with no experience? It's not just Sherwood's inexperience that's making him a bad manager though. And just because Vieira has no experience doesn't mean to say he's going to turn out the same as TS. If we did bring him I guess it would be wise bring in an experienced Assistant of his choosing. like Ray Wilkins? As I say I'd leave it up to Vieira. Wilkins is another example of why bringing in someone with experience doesn't always work. (Although maybe that's unfair) Useless what has Veira done to make you think he could save us?
  19. I keep seeing this number being thrown about like it's a lot of money. Manchester City spent that on Sterling. More than that on De Bruyne. Almost that on Otamendi. Spending £45m now is like spending £12m when O'Neill took over. When was the last time we spent 45 million in a transfer window?
  20. Its one thing sacking a manager who is performing poorly, its quite another to sack the man you appointed 8 months ago who you identified as your only candidate. The man who you have let spend 45 million quid in the last window/ Fox got a lot of plaudits from Villa fans and was never sure why. We pretty much all know Sherwood has to go, his inexperience will cost us our membership in the premiership. You would suspect that Fox knows it too. If Fox is the man a lot of fans thought he was he will act quickly and decisively. If Fox is the man I personally think he is we may have to wait until its too late before he is forced to act. So Tom Fox, how good at your job are you?
