  1. edited. Do not post on poster. Do not fill the General's thread up with comments on other posters. Blandy General, do you know if and when the 3rd kit for this season will be available? Keep up the good work!
  2. A fair concern Tony, and by extension I don't think that you would wish your children to adopt any sort of snobbery themselves, but as someone who went to a private school I think it's fair to say that those types are easily avoided at all but the poshest of boarding schools. The friends that I made are generally some of the most down to earth people I know, and are in the majority. In answer to the thread it would be middle class. My parents are from pretty humble backgrounds but both managed to do well enough for themselves to afford me the comfortable lifestyle that I enjoyed growing up. Class is not entirely dead though, and I would agree with Paddy that other than the absolute silver spoon dickheads, snobbery has almost become an issue of inverted significance.
  3. Yes. I think 16m and Finnan is a good price and want this nonsense over. I'm just sad that a player I respected so much has turned out to be a total prick.

  5. Nah, that's a pussies job.
  6. Because Arctic Monkeys are a very good band. Queen and U2 are hands down winners of this discussion for me. Coldplay stealing a march at the moment but I thought their first two albums were very good. I'd argue that Nirvana are both the best band on that list and the most over-rated.
  7. 2 bands, Metallica and a reformed Rage Against the Machine - who, for me at least - are by far the main attraction.
  8. Reading line-up looks very good this year. Didn't get a ticket on the basis that I was going to be on holiday but now I'm not. Thinking very seriously about eBuying a ticket in the next few weeks while they are still around 220-260.
  9. Well, that would be a whole 'nutha league. under the sea
  10. Which do you prefer? I'm a beef man myself.
  11. General, Did you catch the Champions League final? Out of interest, how much non-Villa related football do you and Randy actually have time to/choose to watch?
  12. Seconded. Don't know if anyone else noticed, when Chelsea went up to get their medals Kenyon was leading them, as they approached the Man u players etc Ferguson was first in line, Kenyon looked at him almost I suspect wanting to shake hands and Ferguson completely ignored him. Quite possibly. He was having a good old laugh with some of the UEFA suits when collecting their losers medals (because he deserves one?) with a distraught John Terry behind. He's just a knob and that entire club reeks of him.
  13. I almost felt sorry for John Terry at the end there... Almost. I almost felt sorry for Chelsea... then Peter Kenyon bowled on to the field and I remembered exactly why I hate that club.
  14. I thin Obama or McCain would be a more relevant question.
  15. Ale and bitter together (and they are the same thing) are only one behind lager. Good stuff.
  16. I thought The Police were pretty good actually, it's just Sting as a solo artist that is appaling. The Clash were probably better though.
  17. United. Can't stand Chelsea, and the idea of them thinking they are suddenly a huge club because they've won the CL makes me feel sick.
  18. AC?DC by a country mile. Maiden were just gash.
  19. If you could only have one of these in your life, would you keep films or music?
  20. I'm not much of reader at home but I've just finished reading 'A Fine Balance' by Rohinton Mistry which I thought was excellent, and particualrly poignant as I'm in India at the moment (where the entire book is set).
