  1. Not sure but I have a feeling Houllier might revert to 4-4-2 Walker Cuellar Dunne L. Young Young Makoun NRC Downing Gabby Bent If Walker is not good to go switch Luke to RB and bring Delph in at LB. If the two of Dunne and Collins are fit, I would take Dunne, out of the two he has been the less poor so far this season. Having said all this it will probably be the standard 4-4-1-1 business. :winkold:
  2. Can't wait, as always with any Villa match Who is off to Goodison this weekend? I am, super excited!
  3. Do you have inside information, or something? No, none at all. But I could almost certainly promise you that we will never see Rafa. Just look at his short stint at Inter. He managed to do absolutely nothing with suc ha talented squad and oversaw the drop of Liverpool from a top 4 to a mid table side. Add in his personality, and it does not add up to something Randy and the rest of the board would be willing to deal with.
  4. Aye, if Gerard leaves, Moyes is who I want as long as he brings with him Seamus Coleman, Leighton Baines, and Arteta.
  5. The Villa board will not deal with Rafa and his ego. Allardyce does not bring the style of football we would want to see at the club.
  6. There is no chance of Rafa or Allardyce managing the club.
  7. Do not rate him in the least...I'm still holding out hope we will pay a price to get Walker, and that the price does not include Ashley.
  8. Thought they were great, made very few mistakes at all. Dunne at one point got robbed of possession, and Clark covered well and Friedel made a nice save to prevent a goal right at the start of the second half. I think they might have the best chemistry out of all our CBs.
  9. Bradley is quite mobile and works hard in midfield so im hoping the Makoun Bradley partnership can be effective
  10. Most people are assuming that Bradley and Makoun will patrol midfield against Fulham saturday, but I have a feeling Bannan will get a chance to play with Makoun, based on the fact that Bannan played outstanding against them last time out (remember the long cross to Albrighton?? Brilliant!). Id actually be very interested to see this partnership.
  11. You reckon there's a bit of Heskey in him too then. Only if he drops the soap in the shower  oh dear
  12. It is so strange that whenever he plays I almost expect a goal from him...never ever seen a defender with such a nose for the goal before...at least not at this young age
  13. Haha, I've slowly lost my American accent even worse than big brad and I hate it. It has only been a few years and I'm already sounding like Bannan. Hence to say, I even now understand Bannan...contemplating kicking my own ass. It really sucks. I've been in Birmingham for 6 months and am already saying "You what?" Yes, it is real funny how fast it happens, given the amount of time Brad has been there, quite shocked his hasnt gotten worse than it is really.

  15. The lad really has such a nose for goal, while I imagine his future is certainly at centre back...would still love him to become a box to box midfielder
  16. Slowly starting to get his confidence up now. Should continue getting better with same more cameos here and there.
  17. Quick question for anyone who watched the match on espn if anyone on here is a music officianado.... at the very end they played a song with match. Highlights and the worlds went something like "all we do is dance, all we do is sing"....any ideas of what the song was?
  18. will have to get a new number, cant have gabby's & now he'll have to change his twitter name :winkold:
  19. The fee is up there, but hell we need goals BADLY and if they think Bent is the man, pull the trigger Ged!
  20. Petrov - Ireland - Makoun in a central midfield triumverate... Yum. Van Bommel + Ireland + Makoun Doubtful....but even yummier!
  21. Really looking at the fixtures, once february begins, everything is very very winnable up until a trip to the emirates on the second to last day...if houllier gets his right men in, I fancy us going on a good run feb-april, which is the opposite of the MON days...hopefully the harsh midseason fixture list was good to get out of the way??
