You think we've done better than the majority of clubs this window? It could be worse, we could be Liverpool. Their window was shite! I'd still rather have Liverpool's squad post-summer transfer window than ours I'm afraid. I'm not saying we don't have a chance or that we're shit though. I'd love for us to come good and I think Lambert will do well with the lads he brought in. I just think other teams did much better than we did and have stronger squads. I don't think we'll be in the relegation dogfight because we're shit, I think we'll be down there because the other teams will just be better than we are. going off topic sorry, but did anyone see Brendan Rogers suggesting that Downing may be used as a left back?......laugh?......I almost shat meself!

he can't be any worse than Bent has been so far this season......and before I get accused of being a Troll, I think Bent is a great poacher, he's just not an up front on his own, lead the line, bring other players into play type striker. Which we've been asking him to be. This was also his downfall at Spurs, However Sunderland stuck a big lump upfront with him and it worked a treat. (I know we tried this with heskey last season, but he's neither use nor ornament) I think Benteke's first job is to release Bent to do what he does best. Take some pressure off him. I think Bowery may also be a useful addition. We need someone to "partner" Bent first and foremost.

I think owen went to Man U BECAUSE he wouldn't have to play every week. By that point he knew he wasn't up to playing week in, week out. A move to Villa or Everton or whoever would have finished him 2 years ago

baros was shite but as i remember it his goals kept us up. Didn't he get 12 or 15 in his first season? He also scored against the noses so as far as I'm concerned he's a legend, along with kevin Phillips!

Collins and Dunne are just too similar for me. it seemed to work first season, but faded after that. I think either would look a much better player with a different style defender alongside them. I have to say that I felt Collins was our best defender last season (i know that's not saying much!!!!!) I'd have been happier keeping him and being rid of Hutton, Warnock and Dunne. Although I feel Dunne may yet have a good season left in him. Collins will go to west ham and they'll think he's great. All action, throwing his body in. good luck to him. I honestly think if he hadn't been a bit of a prick off the pitch, we'd all be sorry to see him go. That said, he's probably on stupid "MONey" (see what I did there?)

If we have to wait until one of Collins, warnock or Hutton leaves, before signing another player, then we won't be signing anyone. not only are those 3 not very good, but no-one's gonna be crazy enough to offer them similar wages to what they're on now, I can see at least 2 of them just idling away the last years of there contracts on stupid money!
