I find the recent reports in the press so condisending. Its as if we should be thanking our lucky stars we're not fighting relegation and that a top 10 finish is the height of ambition for any villa fan. How dare we threaten the sacred big four?

I think you get alot of instant reactions and moaning on forums and the interweb as whole. Its just the nature of the beast. I think alot of people on here would be more moderate and would accept the bigger picture if you were chatting to them down the pub. Posts on an internet forum can often be a common sense free zone, (my own included).

I agree with this and a seven for Zat Knight? What game were you watching? He was brutal. Lunging into silly tackles high up the ptich and then being left out of position after he missed the ball. It cost us the first goal and really could have cost us two more. We really need to get him out of the team when we are playing a passing side.

I think we are on track to finish 5th. The thing that could change that is transfers. If we can buy two top quality players that slot into our first team then we have to be favourites for 4th. This transfer window is the most important MON has had while at the club.

This should be a easy game to win but oddly enough because its at home I am concerned we might draw. No doubt the former tesco bags will park the bus.

To be fair the UEFA fourth Official kept making him sit down, you could see MON shouting at him on the telly and the poor UEFA official looking like a rabbit caught in the headlights.

Could a mod add a poll to this please. I just want to gauge opinions about the Hamburg game after last night's loss. The question is simple should we rest all the first teamers as we have already qualified or should we play the first teamers and try to win the group? My personal opinion is that we should send the kids and leave all first teamers at home. We need all our best players for the hectic Xmas period and we have nobody to fear in the UEFA cup draw regardless of whether we finish 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the group. Hi General, Randy has been in charge for 2 and half years now (if I'm not mistaken) and I am just wondering how he feels it has gone. Is he happy with the progress the club has made on and off the pitch? Is there any area in which he is disappointed, or would like the club to improve?
