  1. I'd just like to second this aswell. In Randy we trust!
  2. Of the available managers I think Frank Rijkaard would be the best choice. Whether or not he would actually come to villa is another question... Can't imagine Moyes would leave Everton for us TBH.
  3. Its seems very likely that he will stay now. Interesting move as I can see it costing us alot of money in the long run, hopefully milner can show he's worth keeping next season.
  4. "Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill believes Man City have offered final bid for James Milner " LINK I hope he is sold now as if he stays he'll be half price next summer...
  5. Hi General, I would just like to say how great it was to see Randy Lerner at the villa bohemians game over the weekend. Great to see that a busy man like Randy has not only time to come to preseason game in Dublin but also took the time to meet and greet the fans. The atmosphere both at the ground and the Villa bar (Murray's on O'connell street) was fantastic and it was great to see the mighty Villa back in the emerald isle. I would hope that the short trip over would become a regular occurance in preseason but I understand this may not be possible. Thanks for all the great work done by the Villa staff over the three days and of course the Irish Lions supporters club who did a great job too . villa89
  6. Milner doesn't have an agent, he uses the free service offered by the PFA instead. Buck being there is just the same as another player having his agent there.
  7. Hasn't he fallen out with Shorey, Carew, NRC, L.Young and now Milner? The actions of MON seem to suggest to me that we are just going to accept whatever city's next bid is and Milner will be gone. I don't think MON has strengthened our posistion with his comments.
  8. Do you really think there's even a 1% chance of that happening?
  9. Finished this over the weekend. I thought the main story arc was a bit short. Seemed like the weak second movie in a trilogy. Its still a good game and its left me eagerly waiting for Mass effect three.
  10.. Its clearly red. And it looks shit.
  11. The away would be okay except for the Red sponsor which ruins it. At least the home kit is nice.
  12. Looks like a decent home kit.
  13. Soldier, I imported my Char from Mass effect 1 so just kept him as soldier. Its still not hard but at least I have died a couple of times in this game. In ME1 the combat was pretty much a procession.
  14.. If the FA Cup was scrapped in the morning I'm not sure I'd miss it. Its a shadow of what it was.
  15. Its either Schweinsteiger or Villa. No other candidates can match those two for consistency throughout this vuvuezela ruined World cup. Forlan there twice, was he really that good?
  16. Just playing this now, about 6 hours into it. I enjoyed the first one despite the few well documented issues. Really enjoying it and its well worth the money. I find the combat slightly harder than the first one which is great as I thought the first one was a bit too easy.
  17. I wouldn't take Barry back in any deal for milner.
  18. Definintely weary of the game now. I have lost interest in it really as its so predictable. Its all about how much money you have and the glass ceiling that well run clubs like Everton and villa have hit is terrible. Also the amount of cheating, diving, bad sportsmanship, terrible role models, clueless pundits that come with the game drive me nuts. Sadly I can only see myself drifting away from the game in the future. I'll never stop supporting the Villa but my interest in the other games will lessen as the years go by. I much prefer sports like the NFL where its well run, you can be competitive even if your run by Al Davis (to an extent) and the sport isn't saturated on our TV every waking minute.
  19. This. Can't really see how our midfield is going to be better next season than it was last season TBH. Both petrov and Milner will have to be replaced (IMO) and are we really going to find two players to play in the centre of midfield that would make us better? I can't imagine Downing would be good in the centre given his tackling allergy.
  20. So finishing 6th should be the limit of our ambitions? Super...
  21. Yes he is. £28m for milner is too good to turn down but I don't trust MON to spend the money wisely. We really need to kick on next season finishing 6th 4 seasons in a row would not be good. By my count we now need to buy a RB, two CM's and a Striker and that's just for the first team. Starting the season with 4 brand new players in your first XI with possibly another 2-3 squad players on the bench. Not sure MON has the transfer nous to make it work...
  22. All this debate over Goal line technology when goal line incidents occur maybe once or twice a season. The real cancer in football is the refusal to use retrospective punishment for diving, cheating, faking injuries, dissent to referees etc. that has made the sport a laughing stock. The governing bodies are corrupt, inept are are ruining our sport instead of protecting it. Football is the sport with the least amount of sportsmanship on the planet, until we face up to that then this goal line technology debate is a tangent.
