I imagine we all have that slight worry, but that's mainly because we haven't seen any of our current players as 'game-changers' recently. However, I have a feeling that Lambert will renew this belief in our players that we used to have. Ireland, Gabby, Bannan & Albrighton could all come off the bench, under Lambert, and give Me hope that we could nick a goal. Alternatively; if we are in a winning position, I would be happy to bring on Holman or Herd to add some energy to cement a win (or even Benteke, to help defend from an onslaught of set pieces!)

I'm sure I read something a while back, saying that in Clark's career he has been played at centre back, left back, central midfield, striker and he once played in goal when there was no goalie available! I think when he was younger he fancied himself as a striker (hence his versatility and ability on the ball!), but then got trained as a defender. I'd personally hate to see us use him as a striker! He doesn't have the pace or strength to be a 'big striker', and he doesn't have the ability on the ball to go round a player/ make space to get a shot on goal. Clark is best placed as a central defender > defensive midfielder > left back IMO

I'm a fan of Clark, but I'm actually more confident when Baker is in central defence. Baker is more physically suited to being a centre-half. But I suppose weight/ strength is not everything.

I'm going to say, right now.. £10 to VT if Dempsey scores more than Benteke this season! (Could be a bit risky... A young, foreign striker in a new league with a new team... but... I'm overdue for a donation anyway)

He's like that rare Wotsit that you find that is thickly coated & covered in more cheese flavouring than normal. You think it's going to be the best Wotsit in the pack but it just makes you feel sick.

As Bent is our star striker, I would imagine that he will be picked for the majority of our games, with Benteke and Gabby being rotated.

Hopefully all 3 of our senior strikers now play with that same intensity. It'll be nice to see a bit of workrate and passion upfront again!!

So... I can't wait for this guy to line-up alongside Bent!

I agree BOF. Westwood might not have Premier League experience but he's played a lot of games and was also named captian. He must have something about him.

We're playing well so far. Nice shape, decent passing and actual movement. When we have the ball we look good. I look forward to seeing this team and formation but with Wiemann and Lichaj replaced with Benteke and Bennett.

I'd play Bennett LB from the start Today.

I don't think we'll have to wait and see anything BJ10. I'M better than Warnock and Hutton defensively. As long as neither of them score headed own goals or try to snap opponents legs, we're better off defensively. Also, Lowton has played well so far, imo, PLUS he can play centreback... I'd like to see Hutton convert to CB for a game! We'd concede 15 penalties!
