No, sorry, did someone say it did? 'are so great'... Who said the fans that stayed were 'so great'?

Maybe, but I'm glad everyone didn't run off early, otherwise we wouldn't have seen the great show of support that we did at the end. If nothing else, I'm sure it will increase the efforts of Lambert/Randy to pay back our support.
  3. How about the better one of the 'McCarthy/McCarthur' pair from Wigan? McCarthy I think. Wigan accept decent bids, he has experience, though still being young. But I doubt he'd give us the type of experience we need right now. Palacious, Guthrie, Collison?... They're not very inspiring. Tbh, I think I'd rather Lambert went abroad again!
  4. If we do bring in a CD and a CM in January, I wonder whether they'll have PL experience or whether they'll be from foreign or lower leagues. It's been repeated that we need some experience, but who, from the Premier League, could we get? Huddlestone does have experience and I reckon he'd be available, but he's injury prone, slow and does have a touch of the MOTD's about him. Adam - Similar to Huddlestone, minus the injuries, adding set pieces, but more importantly, he's probably not available. I'm struggling to think of PL experienced CD's or CM's that would be available? (I've only mentioned Adam and Huddlestone as they've been named in the last few pages)

It started around 85 minutes and lasted to the end of the 3 minutes extra time. I'm guessing the people who left early had to beat the.. Ahem.. Boxing Day traffic..

    Joe Bennett

I thought he looked good. He was no where near being the worst player on the pitch. Good footwork, a few decent tackles (that sliding tackle on the edge of the box on Lennon?), better attacking than he is defending. He's definately shown potential
  7. Bennett looked good. Our fans were fantastic at the end (the ones that didn't run off to cry into their leftover turkey)
  8. My 'slightly realistic' dream team, after January --------- Benteke --- Wiemann ---------- --------------- Djurcic ---------------- ---------- Milner --- Westwood --------- Bennett ------------------------- Lowton ------- Baker --- Vlaar --- Clark ------- ----------------- Guzan ----------------- In: Milner £10m Djurcic £5m Out: Hutton N'Zogbia Bent (Djurcic is just my random, foreign 'ACM' that I've dropped into our side. Any ACM with the ability to link the midfield and attack would be good!)

    Joe Bennett

Me too. I don't know how to judge his performance Yesterday tbh. The game was already lost, and I think that Baker was to blame for the amount of space their forwards were getting on the left side. There's no use having two 'wingbacks' if they're always in defence. You need them to not be afraid of going forward, otherwise we'll just be over-run in midfield. If we stick with the 3-5-2, we'll see much better performances from Bennett, I'm sure of it. (Though... we'll probably ditch the 3-5-2 now!)
  10. I remember at Walsall last season we were chanting "We all dream of a Barry Bannan team", to the tune of Yellow Submarine... ...On reflection, it would be more of a nightmare *winky smiley*..
  11. I don't know what kind of a 'man' you thought Milner was, fella, but on the pitch he was a pro. Just because Man City turned his head and offered him the chance to win trophies, doesn't mean he 'took the £ and ran'. It was the general opinion that he was quite upset when he left. If there was ever the slightest chance he could return, I'd love to have him back. (I'm not saying it could/ will happen!)
  12. Sitting pretty, earning his money, losing his place as every window goes by. Soon he wont make the bench. We all thought Milner was the type of player who wanted to play every single game. He's now won his medal. Will he stay at City and be a 5-starts-a-season player? Or move to a club a bit lower down (Spurs? Liverpool? ... Fulham?)... Or could he come back to a place where he was loved, with his Premier League medal in his back pocket, ready to play some football again? It's unrealistic. As it is every year.
  13. We mention it every year, but I would love it if we bought Milner! I'm growing tired of Bannan tbh. A midfield pairing of Milner and Westwood would be nice
  14. Bannan off, Ireland on please Herd off, anyone on... Please!
  15. Lichaj has been okay. I wouldn't say he's been better than that though. Bennett is left-footed and the one thing he appears to be half-decent at, is attacking. This formation is much better for him than the 4-2-3-1 we were using before. I think Bennett should go back into the side.
  16. What's the parking situation by Norwich? Matchday parking for a fiver or quite a few local roads to park on for free?
  17. Agreed. That was blatantly the point being made. The comparison could have been made with ANY manager whose first 18 results weren't amazing, but turned it round eventually. The point is: Give him time.
  18. 'no way' ? I don't see why you're so sure of this.
  19. When we were under McLeish and had just been selling our best players, year after year. We are (slowly) starting to look to re-build now. And have a good manager in Lambert, unlike last year. Not to mention that we've brought in one of our best players, in Vlaar. IMO Just because he supposedly turned us down last year, doesn't mean he would if Lambert tried in Jan/ Summer.
  20. (I would pay in installments of £50, over a period of 20 years)
  21. Wanyama from Celtic is an option, but his price will have bumped up slightly after his Champs League performances.
  22. Nah, ermm I must be getting the name completely wrong. Basically a striker who was doing well in a lower league, I'm fairly sure he's British.
  23. I'm sure people said the same about that Rodriguez fella, that ended up going to Blackburn, was it?
