  1. I saw a couple of places yesterday, the first agent hinted the landlord would probably be open to negotiation. The 2nd agent told insisted the flat wouldn't be going for anything less than advertised, but came down after a few minutes and was also happy to lower the fees The only downside to the 2nd place is they want 3 months rent upfront on top of the deposit.
  2. Anyone know of any newish decent horrors?
  3. I'd tuned in expecting more of the same sort of discerning advice I'd got earlier and look what I get :|
  4. Thanks for that. I'm viewing properties through agencies and directly through landlords, saw my first couple today, both flats above shops. One had no heating but was pretty warm being above the shop, but not sure how warm it'll be in 2 months time and don't fancy using expensive electric heaters. The other one was ok, needed a bit of a refurb so I asked the agent if the landlord might reduce the price if i did some work on it, he said I've got nothing to lose so go for it. The agents fees were £60 for a check and £150 for admin. Does that sound expensive?
  5. I'm looking for a new place, probably renting privately and I've heard a couple of people saying they've haggled with the prospective landlord to get the price rental price down. Anyone here ever done this or heard of it being done before? If yes, how much of a reduction could I realistically get? Cheers.
  6. Keep it simple Dante, play it cool!
  7. Brilliant woman on piano pic the other girl's nice.
  8. I disagree with that. Last Season - Had Downing and basically no Gabby This Season - Have got Gabby who has nearly equalled Downing stats from last season. Of course wed prefer an on form Gabby and Downing but I think people put too much emphasis on spending money as being the only way to replace folk. I would argue that we will perform better this season without Young & Downing based purely on there being 'a lack of chaos' this year. Not that those two caused chaos by any means. I think your right, we are a better team this season, but without Downing and Young (especially Downing) last season we might be in the Championship. I thought about Gabby and I agree he's been almost as good as Downing was last season, but losing those 2 players alters the set-up of the team and takes 2 very experienced players away, which effects dressing room, training and needs players to adjust to a different game. I don't think people put too much emphasis on spending money to replace players, where would we be without Bent? The Championship probably. Although I don't like the amount of money in the game, it's the way it is and it's necessary to spend that sort of money to compete.
  9. I don't particularly like watching us play, but I think Mcleish has steadied the ship well. We lost Downing and Young and our CM and defense were a mess last season, so considering that I dont' think he's done too badly. Jenas might prove to be a very good signing, reckon he'll make a difference. I wouldn't be unhappy with finishing mid-table which doesn't sound great, but when you look at it we were a team in trouble last season, lost our best 2 players and haven't come anywhere near replacing them. Hopefully we can build on this and push on next year.
  10. I think i should've taken u up on that bet.
  11. Is it? We'll thrash them then Ireland to get a hat-trick.
  12. Our players will be travelling too though, although not as many. might not be a bad time to play them...as good a time as any I suppose.
  13. £10 to VT if Petrov doesn't end up on a stretcher chasing Silva and Nasri around. Gabby should be important at Man City, his pace should win us some territory, he's really stepped up with Downing and Young gone.
  14. I like the way Mcleish is setting the team up at home, but goes a bit toooooo defensive for me away...then again, his tactics are pretty good ones to take to Man City and possibly get a draw.
  15. They obviously know what they're talking about...
  16. I really, really hope McCleish is turning Villa into a solid side this year, readying us for next season when we'll have £££ to spend...
  17. Jenas is a decent player, think he's better than what we've got.
  18. He's a big Championship standard lump. The only thing that make him look good are his last ditch blocks. Was a muppet yesterday.
  19. Delph has too much running to do playing with Petrov, if he had a better partner he'd look much better.
  20. Do our defenders ever learn that its better to mark your man rather than leave it till the last second to get back WARNOCK, HUTTON.
  21. So many players around and NO ONE marking, unbelievable.
