  1. I predict the Redskins will demolish the Giants twice on the way to an NFC East title. Well, as long as the secondary plays better than most think it will
  2. Not at all. Sadly, there isn't a 242-page long thread on this site that has tracked his progress with Olynpiakos obsessively... :winkold: Oh didn't notice that thread... I couldnt be bothered to look!
  3. Does anyone know how Makoun was getting on in Greece? Would like to see him get a go if Solskjaer takes over. Can't believe we let Bradley slip through the net..
  4. Go Skins. NFC will be competitive this time round, just hope the Skins receivers give RG3 something to throw at, if they do I think Redskins will make the playoffs. Think the D will be better this season, barring injuries and same goes for the OLine, looking forward to seeing Helu, Royster and whoever else is in the squad at RB Looking forward to this season, watch RG3 be a complete bust now haha
  5. Really bad news, I wish him all the best.
  6. What a heart rendering ballad.
  7. Pretty good performance so far on the whole, much better going forward.
  8. If the Pats offense plays as well as they did against the Ravens but capitalise in the red zone and don't lose the turnover battle, then they should win. I think Brady will have more luck throwing against the Giants secondary, especially if the Giants can't get pressure on him. Can't count the Giants out though, they're on a roll, Manning could pull it off again.
  9. Ive had £20 on Pats -13.5 and £20 on Ravens Pats over 50 + Giants 49ers over 41.5.
  10. I know he had a good run 2nd half today but I don't like to see him taking players on, he doesn't have the pace for it. He's better when he shifts the ball quickly and makes just half a yard for himself to whip balls in, like Beckham. His crossing hasn't been great this season, but to be fair he's benn playing in a very defensive slightly struggling team which can have a negative effect on play. I think Albrighton struggles in a team like ours, but he's got the kind of quality in his crossing that could make him a very good player when played in the right position in a good team...that's if he learns to play to his strengths and not overdo things ie. accept he has no pace, can't tackle, but is one of the best crossers in the league when in form.
  11. Trevor Francis is such a word removed. The more I see villa play the more I think Makoun would've been a much better option in CM, would've linked up well with Ireland. No quality in CM.
  12. Haven't had a bet in a while but will have a few on the play-offs. I think the Lions to win the SB are a big price at 66/1 (William Hill). The Patriots, Saints and Packers have the worst 3 pass defense records in the league so I give the Lions a slim chance of beating all three (if NE gets to SB). I'm having £20 on Texans (-3) 10/11, Lions (+10.5) 10/11, Falcons (+3) 5/6, Broncos (+9) 5/6, total odds just over 11/1
  13. Let me clarify lol Mcleish was arrogant before kick-off and had the stuffing well and truly knocked out of him by the end of the match, you'd think he'd be old and wise enough to know how quickly things can change wouldn't you? No? Fair enough...

  15. Did anyone think McCleish looked all 'we beat Chelsea away, job done' before the match? A big contrast to how he looked after the game.
  16. He's almost always out on his feet last quarter of a game, not just when he's supposedly carrying an injury. I'm bored with Petrov, he has to put so much effort in at the beginning of games to make an impression that towards the end of the game he's totally ****. If every player did that we'd have to use all our subs and whoever wasn't subbed would ****, like Petrov. Imagine every player busting their ass like Petrov does only to be **** with 15/20 minutes left, we'd concede 2 or 3 late goals most games. Petrov has played better this season, I think because of the defensive manner of the performances giving him a bit more insurance, but to be honest he's the most overrated player I've seen at Villa for years. He's been an ok PL CM since nothing better, which is an achievement in itself, but he's nothing special.
  17. Was Ireland injured when he was taken off? Dont understand how he'd take the best player off and then not bother making another sub til 5 minutes left or whatever it was. Did we use our last sub? Not good management when it was obvious changes had to be made sooner.
  18. Was just reading up on Skins rookie WR Niles Paul after seeing Cruz go for that TD. He was cantering alongside a full speed Brandon Banks towards the start of the season, so I was interested to see what his combine 40 time was. It wasn't that quick because of injury, but he is very, VERY quick and at 6"1'. His uncle was Ahmad Green the former Packer RB and he apparently beat his 20 metre dash record a couple of years ago. Could be a big WR for the Skins in the next couple of years!
