  1. At least it wasn't a Eric Black Christmas
  2. West Ham statement. It's pretty much how I feel about Smith sadly. https://www.skysports.com/transfer-centre
  3. You seriously not gonna add any more options to that poll? It's like asking people what their favorite food is and only having these 5 options. Meat Paella The stuff you scrape out of the fryer when you make fish& chips Snails Or cake that's gone bad
  4. I'd say absolutely no truth in that no.
  5. And Sol Campbell, Sol Campbell should always be in the mix.
  6. Perhaps add a few more options to the poll
  7. And that's being generous. Today was a new low.
  8. Fergie also recommended us to sign McLeish.
  9. Leicester playing a reserve side against West Ham, t'riffic.
  10. Fair do's he did come close today with his first and only attempt on or off goal in 5 games. But he's now averaging a goal every 430 minutes and hasn't scored in the league since October 5th against Norwich. Since then he has played roughly 1080 minutes (not counting stoppage time) without scoring in the league. I'm begrudgingly impressed by that feat.

Do we roll the dice?
  12. Will forever be grateful for the miracle he performed last season in getting us promoted, but the PL might be a year or 2 too early for him. All the teams we face seem better prepared and more cohesive and dynamic than we do. It was always going to be an uphill struggle but it should not look this bad this far into the season. He and the team look like they've lost faith in their ability. It's by this point hard to spot what we are even trying to do. We are likely going down no matter what. So the question for the board is do they persist with something clearly not working and hope we can repeat promotion next season? Or do they act and try to protect their investment this season? Miracles do happen, we should know. But I see no chance of Smith keeping us up sadly.
  13. Norwich was a poor performance, this was something else. It was pathetic. It's becoming a familiar sight that our players look like strangers and that every other team look more like a team than us. Even with all the underlying reasons for this it's still not good enough. It's more and more turning into a carbon copy of that horrible first season under Lambert. This time thou we will not stay up if we persist with what is. You can see in Smith that he knows it isn't working, but he just doesn't have any answers. Sad to see because I so wanted him and us to succeed and build something here in the PL.
  14. Probably not but with the new salary cap in Chinese football he will soon be managing pretty dismal players. Not sure if the cap effects managers thou and all contracts are still good until the expire.
  15. Lost count how many times it's looked like boys against men for us this season. And I'm not just talking about physicality. The players we face look more dynamic, more mature and more tactically astute.
  16. So do we persist with Smith out of sentimentality and settle for relegation and hope that he can get us back or do we push the bout out and try salvaging the season with someone new? It's clearly not working this season. There are mitigating circumstances of course but this is just pathetic.
  17. Adama got away with that when he did it against Man City before he set up their goal.
  18. How do we allow them to press us so we have to punt it when we have the man advantage? Shambolic performance.
  19. 30 minutes with the man advantage to salvage something here against the run of play. Lucky break there.
  20. The fark was that? Look alive and talk to each other ffs
  21. Sure, why not. At this point we might as well try anything. No point in believing in what we are doing as frankly it isn't working.
  22. So we tried to put on a couple more technical players who are good on the ball if a bit (read very) slow on and off the ball. It didn't work, but at least we tried something. What do we do now? Persist whit the same in the second half? Some of our players looked exhausted already. Bring in some of the guys who were terrible last time our against Norwich and hope they have the odd day in form? Honestly don't know. Kodjia for Wes seem the obvious thing we haven't tried but just like Smith i really don't rate him much and Wes has not had his worst game ever. Still you have to try something. And please no Valium to the players at HT.
  23. At least we know we'll be fired up for the starting 5 minutes of the second half...
