    Yes! Adam I can take him or leave him but if Downing is available then it's a no-brainer for me. All will b forgotten as soon as he puts the shirt back on! Not sure either of them are viable options though with Benteke, Stephens and Cresswell looking more and more likely. 4 or 5 might be asking to much.

    The world doesn't work like that, there is no law of averages in football. I agree with the rest of what you said though.

    Nobody is saying that - it's more a case of thinking about what he offers and what we lack, some people think he'd be a good squad player and could do a job for us, not that he is some sort of messiah. The squad is full of players that "can do a job". We need players to come in and add quality to the first team.

    This is the tie that changed my life all those years ago! Unfortunately I don't think we can afford to rest too many seniors as the rest just aren't good enough. That said, I would be surprised if we don't go through. Is Clark suspended? Hopefully he is and we'll have him back in the league sooner.
