  1. Had to Google this to check it out, cos of the spaghetti growing on trees report, but that is interesting. Apparently peanuts aren't nuts.
  2. Good business and best of luck to him
  3. Good signing, a step up from Bednerak last year.
  4. Can you imagine Southgate asking a Villa player to declare for England, tell him to f*ck off Omari
  5. I don't necessarily think he is good enough, I just think he is the best viable option at the moment, and therefore gets 100% support. If Emi has a bad injury, we will bring in a new Nr 1 asap. I appreciate that criticism is part of reality, I just also think, constructive criticism is a far better option. I respect our difference in opinion, but for you to say he is shit and me to says he's not, time and again just causes friction. I guess I just want to debate the subject, but I'm not trying to change your opinion.
  6. No need to get defensive , we're just having a difference in opinion, but to debate the subject it is helpful. I'm guessing that your answer is facetious, but let's go with it. How are we fitting a £70m reserve goalkeeper, on £200k per week in FFP. Because you'll be the first one criticising Origi when we've sold Watkins to pay for him.
  7. It is all my opinion, which you have every right to disagree with, except for the question about who is to replace him. If you can give me a straight answer on that we can debate it. Would appreciate an answer from you or anybody in fact.
  8. Yeah, I did. Nobody says he doesn't make mistakes. What I have also seen is Cash miss a virtual open goal against Newcastle, Ollie miss a sitter against Hibs and Zaniolo butcher a 2 on 1 against Burnley, but they do not receive the vitriol from the bedwetters. I would love to see him upgraded, but as I said before, by who. And nobody has answered that.
  9. Well I appreciate the well thought out and eloquent reply.
  10. Absolute fraud and a coward. He must ring up Garth Crooks for advice on picking a team. People bang on about how the players love meeting up with England, cos Gareth is such a nice guy. But it is harder to get dropped than picked for some players.
  11. Seems like his pre season minutes were to get him in the shop window. I imagine we will see a lot of this in future.
  12. Like the bloodbath at St James's Park? It's not the players panicking, it's the Olsen haters. There is a lot of projection going on here. No, he does not command his area, only the very top keepers are able to do this. This is what separates the great from the good. His kicking and distribution seem fine to me. The players seem confident in him, I have not once seen any of them refuse to pass to him. Again projection from the haters. I hear he is shit a lot, but no one stating this has come up with a viable alternative. We get comments like "put Marschall on", which is the best way to destroy a career, to de Gea if free, at £300k a week. The need for a scapegoat says more about the haters than the player. Slag him off when he's gone by all means, but just support him when he is here.
  13. It's great to have a manager that buys either the player he needs or doesn't buy anyone. This will reduce the likelihood of a bomb squad, which would kill us with FFP.
  14. Very few keepers are able to command the penalty area. We have had very few that were anything other than good shot stoppers. David James was the best I can remember, but he had the odd howler in him. Losing Mings hasn't helped, being so dominant in the air.
  15. Agree with everything you have said here. The highlighted section has been a massive failing of English over the years, as at age group football we are obsessed with winning, therefore an early maturing athletic player will always get picked over the less mature skillful player, because he can bully opponents. This is why we produce players like Kevin Campbell, excellent for an 18 year old, but bang average at 25. Very rarely have we produced world class footballers, just world class athletes that play football. I mean, how many other top footballing nations would have given Carlton Palmer an international cap?
  16. He's not good enough for where we are at the moment, but the guy is playing at a level that all of us could only dream of. Best of luck to him. Same with Olsen, I read how he is shit. If any of us had half his attributes we would have made pro footballers.
  17. That's a good deal in the currant market
  18. I always thought that was Minstrels, but it looks like they ripped off Treets.
  19. She's now been taken to hospital. Mad old witch.
  20. Just finished watching Rabbit Hole, it is very good, Charles Dance is his usual excellent self. The only issue is Kiefer Sutherland now looks like a bloke who is about the rob a bank wearing a rubber Kiefer Sutherland mask.
  21. My gran used to work for Cadburys, and had a lifetime pass for the seconds shop at the factory. I used to love going there (late 70's and early 80's) and filling up a rucksack for a couple of quid. I still love all the old favourites Double Decker, Fudge, Curly Wurly, Cream Eggs, cans of Schweppes pop. Happy days.
  22. Don't Google this at work... I'm just off for a chat with HR
