  1. Absolutely - look he has done much better this season - but frankly he has been very poor overall since he joined us. From what I can see - he seems a guy with a lot of common sense - so I wouldn’t expect him to be looking to hold the club to ransom, but if so - frankly he can do one
  2. Sorry I’m late to this party - this is a joke isn’t it? - apologies if I have missed something ?
  3. Are you sure about this? He has been in a lot of our recent match day squads and is probably the most naturally gifted player in the club imo. I think he is a fantastic footballer who I always enjoy watching and again in my humble opinion is the only slight disappointment in Unai’s tenure - although I fully accept this is not a view shared by many.
  4. I agree - Digne has played very well this season and will be unfortunate to lose his place in the team, but this guy is a little bit special and offers that us, that little bit of magic, that despite playing superbly Digne cannot.
  5. My only disappointment about Unai is his use of Bertie, although I acknowledge I am most likely in a minority here. There is just something about Bertie that I really enjoy watching - one of the most naturally gifted footballers we have had at VP imo
  6. When I speak of Big Ron - I don’t necessarily think of what we won under him, more so the whole match day experience. It was so entertaining for a period of his tenure. It really was footballing theatre in every sense. I just loved to watch us spray the ball around at pace and with purpose. Unai - I believe will deliver us more in terms of trophies won - fingers crossed
  7. Given time and appropriate resources - nothing would surprise me with him. Just think where we would be sitting right now, if we had beat Forest. However it’s still very early into his tenure to be suggesting this season
  8. Genuinely do not think, the football we are playing is as good that which we were afforded under Big Ron - but equally I feel that Unai will surpass everything that Big Ron achieved with us.
  9. Yes I also remember seeing this on here actually. Let’s hope history is repeating
  10. To be honest - I thought there were glimpses of the player - we thought he was right from the start. I like him and I’m pleased for him, that we are now starting to see the best version of him and long May this continue
  11. I would say let it slide, for me the longer he stays under the radar, the better it is for all of us. Plus he doesn’t give off the vibe, that he courts publicity - just a guy who is comfortable with his lot.
  12. Agreed TRO - I thought he was immense on Sunday
  13. I actually did get the joke reference - just couldn’t think of any funny come backs
  14. Don’t think our man has such thing as a floored strategy - it might give us a few palps here and there, but I trust him totally
  15. I have absolutely no idea - I haven’t watched a soap in years tbh.
  16. Yes it’s an odd one for sure - For me Bertie is our most naturally gifted footballer, but for whatever reason Unai does not fancy/trust him.
  17. I would disagree - I see him getting plenty of minutes - but what a great problem to have ?
  18. Don’t think it’s a good comparison to be truthful - both are very good footballers, we will be thankful for both of them come May imo
  19. I was thinking the same Digne has played really well so far, but it seems like having Moreno on the bench is having a negative effect on him ?
  20. This man is starting to get on my nerves - can you believe he has the temerity to challenge my view of Big Ron, being my favourite Villa manager ? The cheek of it. Ps - why the hell does he have to be so humble with it??
  21. Think you are doing him a disservice - he is defo as silly as these two. The guy is starting to write himself into Villa folklore. I think he will see out his career with us - you can see just how much playing for us, means to him. We are lucky to have him
  22. Yes I agree - I truthfully don’t see him as a regular starter. I guess he is like many wingers before him, he is consistently inconsistent. I don’t think I will ever be one of his staunchest fans, but if he can replicate todays impact on a regular basis - he might just become our very own David Fairclough
  23. Let them keep talking about Ange - let’s keep our genius tactician under everyone’s radar and well ensconced in B6
  24. I don’t know if maybe he was somewhat disoriented momentarily It seemed like, he thought he had to put the ball further to the right of the goal, than he actually needed too? But yes you make a great point about his goal.
  25. Definitely better coming off the bench for me. Great cross into the box, looked up for the fight and very lively today.
