  1. Good question, I think I'd go for Holman and N'Zogbia.
  2. Wow thanks for that tweet. I have now found his forum. He really seems an angry little man doesn't he? Looks like attention seeking to me. Must have been really hard to look at my signature then? I find it hard enough to read your posts, let alone your sig!!! Careful irreverentad, if he reads your sig - he may start on his rant about the Incredible Hulk gif AGAIN.
  3. Thanks for trying to get the thread back on topic My worry with Ireland is that, I don't think he's got enough to his game so that he can play in the middle of a 4-4-2. Watching Villa the last couple of seasons, we seem to be trying the recently popular 4-3-3, and I would personally like to see us play 4-4-2, but I think the main thing that stops us from doing this, is that our midfield partnership is not strong enough in the centre of the park.
  4. Forgetful? Forgetful of your opinion? What's more true? Your opinion? So your opinion can be more true? Semantically those two sentences say this: I thought.
  5. yes i do. But that one is poor and half an attempt. Plus it actually doesnt resolve any type of debate. That type of person using that is basically lazy. Oh wait, you're the person that had the 'fantastic' statement, that the fans should have sent.
  6. I have the naive optimism that comes with a new season. I still, like others, feel that we need more squad/team members. Specifically, a forward (Gabby and Bent have been quite injury prone recently, and I don't have confidence in Weimann/Fonz), a winger, left back and centre back. I think we have enough central midfielders, that, if coached properly, should be given a chance. Of course, I wouldn't say no to a great midfielder coming in, I just think that the above should be our focus. So my naive optimism is about 8/10 for a top 8 finish.

  8. 'houillerout' - do you understand memes? Like, at all?
  9. There are a lot of keepers on the bosman list!
  10. Talking of injury prone - Gordon from Sunderland is being/has been released.
  11. I mean it's a valid point... we should obviously just be called, and it's quite simple to remember: 'The football team who are based within or near Aston, which has been part of Birmingham for many years, which used to be called Beormingahām, and is technically part of the county West Midlands, but it doesn't really sound like a county, like the shires do, anyway, it's in a country called England, in a place we now call the United Kingdom or Great Britain depending on what you want to do' Villa.
  12. (TRS-T certainly doesn't do his 'reputation' well with articles like this...)
  13. I think because what lies between the lines of the text in the statements from both club and manager speaks very loudly indeed. I was of the opinion like many others that AMC would be here next season even after the Bolton debacle... until I read the club statement. The coy way of talking about the next three games as the only focus for the future there made me think he was teetering on the brink. Now given the way he's phrased his own response in similarly indirect terms, I don't have any doubt in my mind that he will gone very soon. So I guess we're saying that the supposed meeting between PF, RL and AM was to say 'you're going at the end of the season - try and keep us up and keep your reputation high so you have a chance of getting another job'??
  14. It's a fair point, and I think if we had a proficient CEO (or equal) - it wouldn't be an issue.
  15. I think it's about time we did this rolling one year contract thing - the amount we're changing our manager recently. It would save us a lot of money.
  16. I'm really confused. Why are people so certain now that he's going?
  17. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Ramsay COUGH!
  18. Everyone wants a good player.* If he's good enough, he'll be fine.
  19. Wasn't meant to be... Sorry, it's just that the standard of Scottish football is not what it used to be. To bad that's the only point people seems to get from my post. I'd better fall into line then. Scotland is and will always be the pinacle of football and Lambert is our saviour and shining beacon of hope and prosperity. Frankly, my dear... you talk crap (said with as much respect as needed for this post not to be deleted)
  20. Re-tarting eh? Maybe that'll get some more people to join you
  21. According to AVFC OS - Ozzy Osbourne used to be a Villa fan too... include him, and we're sorted.
  22. Yep, but the Prime Minister hasn't got any money, and as for the future King of England, we all know what people on here think of people who inherit wealth...... How about Tom Hanks and one of the Weasley twins?
