The prospect of him working well with Carroll and this being pushed through to the England team is the only positive I can see personally. Entirely correct. Everyone talks about the 3 tiers of the PL. You have the top 4/5 You have the relegation candidates, and you have the Inbetweeners (meh... if only... bus rocket polishers!) The Inbetweeners buy the relegation candidates best players, the guys that have the quality to stay in the PL (i.e. Scott Parker/N'Zogbia). The top teams then buy the players from the Inbetweeners, and on the odd occassion from the relegation candidates, who they think are European Quality. The best way to change what tier you are in (to go up) is to use the system to get up there (with money it helps). You bring through youth/buy lesser teams players - show how good they are, they get called up to their national team - then sell these players on for a bigger fee. Tottenham have been doing this for some time, and (yes with a little bit of money) they found themselves in the CL, and now top 6. It just takes patience and confidence, which no one seems to have. EDIT: The amount of typos in here makes me feel bad for my English GCSEs.

I don't really see the logical step in your argument? Do you comprehend that Liverpool has been shit for the past two seasons? What did they win? Where did they end up on the table? But still, you think they are a better club than Villa... Go figure.... Wow, I already regret responding to your comment. Firstly, they have finished above us for both of those seasons. Secondly, we didn't win anything either. I never personally stated that Liverpool are a better club that Villa, so 'go figure'. In addition, I and many other people on this forum, support Villa, not because of how good we are or how much we win, but because they are MY team, my local team, the team I've always supported.

Depends, we may play a narrow formation like Chelsea, then we would only need one. Like Malouda for them! Is it a little too easy to say that we have lost two of our best attacking players whilst having AMcL (the defensive guy!) is in charge. I know it's never that simple, but it's an easy jump.

Agree about loyalty, but we can't know about the latter statement really. If he has been tapped up, it's happened over a period of time. I blame News International!

If those other sources were true that should mean NZog is on his way to ours. But the worrying thing is.... we now NEED 1 GK, 1 LB, 1 CM, 2 Wingers. We also need these players to have a good pre-season and get to know the squad. I hope Randy and AMcL have a damn good plan, and they need to do it asap. We need positive news before the weekend.
