  1. A shadow of the player he was. He needs to go.
  2. Bruce Rioch, Gordon Cowans, Dennis Mortimer Paul McGrath Jack Grealish
  3. Brilliant in defence. Crap in front of them. Kamara sometimes good. Sometimes irrelevant
  4. Kamara and Bailey are passengers. I thought Kamara was fantastic last game, but don't think he's as good as we'd like to think collectively. Hopefully, they prove me wrong in the 2nd half.
  5. I was a sceptic like you. I'm a convert today.
  6. Kamara my mom this week. I was slightly critical of the praise for him against Liverpool. Thought he was excellent today.
  7. A few good touches by Kamara, but he doesn't impose himself enough on games.
  8. That's been the difference since Emery arrived.
  9. Really pleasing performance. Game management superb. Outclassed them. Defence excellent. Midfield solid. Attack predatory. Absorbed their pressure and counter attacked

    Unai Emery

I think he'll have a decent squad. But unlike Gerrard he'll show them respect, evaluate and then tweak.
  11. Not much went right for Coutinho, I agree, but McGinn came on and did the simple things well. Both have still got a future under positive leadership.
  12. Like a cloud was lifted. Billy Big Boots made this group of players feel inadequate. Today they showed that they are not. A real sense of joy at the end of the game. Perhaps we had a bit of luck, but well done Mr Danks.
  13. Thought things were positive against Chelsea. Dreadful tonight.
  14. Bored with the club after being a supporter for over 50 years. Don't trust our show biz owners or chief exec. Think Gerrard is one of the worst I've seen at Villa, but today was down to Bailey and Watkins. Bailey fannies around and gives the ball away. he needs a good kickin, his father needs to wake up. Watkins is flawed, knows it, might come good, but his 7 million pound replacement at Brentford is so much better. Think our owners, though ignorant about football might act soon.
  15. Maybe. Think it's a high risk leadership strategy, though.
  16. Hats off to Mings. He's been put under unnecessary pressure by his manager, but was immense throughout.
  17. Well done. if we can show that level resolve, Gerrard will get my support...albeit reluctantly.
  18. I think that this is a good shout, if he's still got ambition to prove himself in the premiership.
  19. Despite the Telegraph not being my favourite rag, this is an excellent summary of our current predicament under Gerrard.
  20. I really want him to go but Purslow loves him too much. Hopefully our owners will say enough is enough.
  21. No, of course not. But we're not judging Gerrard on one match.
  22. What a difference an hour makes
  23. Stating the obvious but how Gerrard handled Mings' demotion plus the feeling that he has clear favourites amongst the players is not going to help morale in the dressing room. Contrast Gerrard with a Klopp. They are worlds apart.
  24. Sadly, so many on here said that when he got his own players in, we'd take off. All of his signings have been inconsistent,
