  1. Is he even fully fit? And if we’re going by “every 6 or 7 he drops a clanger” then he still has 4-5 games before his next one so even more reason to keep him in.
  2. Actually… I take the back. I thought CalcioMercato was a legit source since Frabrizio writes for them but turns out it’s the Italian version of the Daily Mail. Just ignore me! Lol
  3. For the signing, yes. But the interest there seems to be legit.
  4. The original source of the rumor: https://www.calciomercato.it/2021/06/18/calciomercato-ajax-aston-villa-julian-alvarez-river-plate-juventus/
  5. Mount is definitely out, 10 day self-isolation… Grealish in? Well, that’s not quite so certain.
  6. All I know is Villa won the Champions League with him at RW in Football Manager so he's a good one to get.
  7. Technically it’s from: https://www.calciomercato.it/2021/06/18/calciomercato-ajax-aston-villa-julian-alvarez-river-plate-juventus/ which I assume is the Italian version of HITC.
  8. The Athletic trying to uncover the truth: https://www.givemesport.com/1710099-jack-grealish-report-unpicks-england-stars-complicated-relationship-with-southgate “..Well, a recent report from The Athletic has aimed to shed light on the situation ahead of the final Group D game against the Czech Republic at Wembley. The report lists five key points that are influencing the relationship between Southgate and Grealish. Firstly, the England manager is a fan of Grealish but doesn't totally trust him to do what he wants on the pitch. Rather pertinently, both have differing ideas on Grealish's best position while the player himself suspects his party-boy image could be counting against him. It's also been reported that Grealish had a poor relationship with England U21 manager Aidy Boothroyd, who was a close ally of Southgate's during their time together in the England setup. The final reason concerns Southgate's overall handling of the squad, with certain players believing he has favourites in the dressing room - including Jordan Henderson, Mount and Sterling. That is not to say that the relationship between the pair is strained "Any talk that Gareth has an issue with Jack, or doesn’t like him as a person, couldn’t be further from the truth,” said a source close to the squad. The disagreements over his best position and his image, which does have undertones of a bygone era that Southgate has made clear strides to eradicate, could well be counting against Grealish as he bids to establish himself in the XI..”
  9. You’re being completely irrational. You can keep repeating the same post over and over again but it will never make you right. You are taking a simple, innocent comment WAY too seriously.
  10. I can’t for the life of me understand why there needs to be such harsh criticism of his quote. It’s not like he said Villa is trash. Some of y’all need to take a step back and stop being overly sensitive to a simple comment.
  11. SkySports appreciated his effort (Typo on the next opponent): Jack Grealish - 7 England's go-to man in their crisis of creativity. Didn't quite live up to the clamour, but did plenty of good work after his introduction and will surely start on Tuesday against Croatia.
  12. Some early ratings and all I can say is "WHAT!?" Maybe I missed some things during the game but the first two seem insulting? From the Independent: Tyrone Mings - 6 out of 10 Solid enough but on borrowed time with the return of Harry Maguire, whose ability to carry the ball up the pitch will be welcomed with open arms. NBC Sports: Tyrone Mings: 6 – Did okay, but Adams and Dykes gave him some problems. SkySports seem to have their heads on right: Tyrone Mings - 8 Scotland's direct style may well have played to his strengths, but that shouldn't detract from his excellence against the visitors' aerial threat. One of the few England players to come out of the game with his reputation enhanced.
  13. Yeah he was yelling at the ref cause he thought Mings fouled Dykes.
  14. I was just thinking the same thing. Had to look it up but Real Sociedad placed a £60 million release clause on him. BvB have a €30 million buy-back clause and Transfermarkt has his value sitting around $45 million. So we’d be breaking records again if we tried to sign him.
  15. They're being bellends because of the idiotic decision they made when they signed him. A 50% sell-on clause for PSG is madness.
  16. It represents his effort throughout a game. Starts off high with tons of energy and then ends up falling over sideways from exhaustion.
  17. Don’t tell that to all the pundits. Every player ratings article I’ve seen says the same thing: “Stone was the heart of the defense and commanded brilliantly.”
