  1. Is worth remembering just how farcical Benitez's transfers at Liverpool had become. The sheer ammount of players he bought only to sell on a season or two later was quite remarkable. Is also debatable if he left a Liverpool squad any better than the one he inherited from Houllier.
  2. Do you even believe most of what you typed? Of course O'Neill had his faults and yes this season with way he left was always going to be difficult or transitional of sorts but make no mistake this season has been well beyond acceptable whatever way you look at it and even i at my most cynical never envisaged just how shit Houllier and co would have done . Do you honestly think Houllier / GMac will surpass what O'Neill (despite his faults) ever manged ? Madness imo . and a belief based on nothing . IMO the extent of this miserable season should not be brushed under carpet We've taken big , big steps back imo . Think its time to cut our losses .
  3. Benitez was so bad in the transfer market at Liverpool . The Liverpool squad he left was not much better (if at all) than the one Houllier left there.
  4. Listening to this now via radio. Sounds terrible game. Commentator earlier refered to "two very poor sides" and described the football as "embarrasing". Been really that bad?
  5. Voted yes as well. It was mainly the crap and cynical "no" campaign that swayed me into voting yes.
  6. Think AV is a bit shit..its not ideal ....but first past the post system is shit and needs reforming. I was actually originally against AV but the No campaign has actually been so frankly shit and cynical it has actually made me change my mind.
  7. Have to admit tho im going through weird phase of hating club music. I loved dubstep originally (the good stuff) and do still like a LOT of the "post-dubstep" stuff being churned out but ....there are times when just think so and so making FUTURE GARAGE etc (or some of it) ... is bit like mate - just **** off. Dont get me wrong there are gems still about. Tho there is also a lot of very boring four to the floor very retro stuff being hailed as great imho at moment. Having said that i still love Addison Groove take on juke , 808 stuff . He makes better juke than any proper juke or american. So i am sort of full of contradictions. Then you have some singer song writer crosseover stuff like James Blake . His album is terrible imo. Junk.
  8. Yeh Future Days is great . Especially the track itself. Currently listening to a Randy Newman binge myself I Think It's Going To Rain Today , Political Science etc - just too good.
  9. I'd recommend "Network" Wont be for everyone but literally one my fave films ever . Truely brilliant film - cast and script wise - a slowburner of a film someways but also (considering when was made) a disturbingly prophetic one. And course Sidney Lamet recently died RIP.
  10. Fun for the first 20 mins or so ..then is bit like change the **** record mate. Wonder if Rodriguez and Tarrantino will ever one day snap out of making pretend B movies . They seem stuck in a rut.
  11. Total coordination between the four limbs. His two hemispheres must be welded together. A rhythmic brainwave tranducer. He made me want to play the drums. All but the most basic of his patterns eluded my feeble skills. Yeh an exceptional drummer. But is almost like a metronome at times. Brilliant but almost too good that can sound like a drone. Oh Yeah is my fave Can track btw.
  12. @ Xann - Jaki Leibezeit - an exceptional drummer. Tho probably too tight for his own good in some ways if you get me.
  13. Reasons why I would like to see Houllier stay on in some capacity, help the new manager settle and provide some advice + make them aware of the youngsters properly. Houllier + Moyes seeing as they are meant to be good friends. Have read before that Moyes and Houllier are quite good friends. It was Houllier that recommended Gueye to Moyes .
  14. yeh is a cool blog - just bookmarked it You based in Brum?
  15. @ PatrickCousens -i like your blog btw
  16. We were vaguely linked to Ireland few times before Man City wanted Milner - if rmber correctly. Anyhow Milner has been big miss this season. What we do with Ireland now i really dnno.
  17. or a one season wonder? Think Robihno helped him more than a bit.
  18. Really like Street Halo. Not overkeen on other two tracks .
  19. Theres no real animosity between Wolves and Villa . At least ive never known of any - not on a serious level. Coventry - who gives a ****?- so long since we played them We relegated them back in 2000 . There was a very vague derby feel to some games but was mostly from their side Can't say ive even thought about Coventry in the last 10 years .
  20. Played great pass for Bents disallowed goal but yeh he was out of sorts mostly today - some poor passes. There is good player in there but our current situation has been far from ideal for him.
