Yeah I’d assume so. I think Emery wants someone who’s a bit more mobile. Probably someone who can play across the front 2-3.

I’m a bit surprised we let Archer go if we were planning on selling Ings! I think it makes sense financially but it leaves us light up front!

It’s been said so many time already but just to reiterate. He’s very young and seems to be a really raw talent. He will need patience from the fans! I can see him getting some mins off the bench this season and hopefully making an impact. I do love these out of nowhere transfers Villa have pulled over the last few years!

I was watching Ash last night. Beer in hand, pizza ordered after finishing a 60 hour week and I realised after all the talk from Neville and Co, I’m the same age as Ashley Young! Looking at him last night I’m not sure we’re the same species!

I always find it interesting to see who people choose for MOTM. I went with Young for three reasons. His calm pass out of defense really set the first goal off. Amazing tackle before our second goal and he was up against their best player and kept him relatively quiet. But Martinez and Bouba are equally good shouts.

The two separate injury subs are really going to limit our chance to make any real changes here. Buendia has been really poor as has JJ but both will get at least 60mins now.

I think the starting line up tonight will tell us how we are going to approach this one. I think we’ll miss McGinn and it appears Unai doesn’t trust Cash at RB. I think it will likely be: Emi Young Konsa Mings Digne Ramsey Bouba Luiz Buendia Watkins Bailey We need to get back to winning ways tonight. Hoping to see Watkins on the scoresheet!

I’m missing something here. Are people protest voting for Sanson? The guy was terrible today. Yes he took the goal well but he was generally terrible. Not good going either direction. I can see why no manager seems to give him any minutes! -

If that’s starting 11 there are maybe 3-4 players who are at the level of average premier league player! Keeper should go now. Beyond useless! Cash is ok, Augustinson is terrible. I’d happily say goodbye to both centre backs. Luiz is ok around better players. Sanson and Dendonker are average at best. Bailey and Couthino were terrible today. Ings was ok with almost no possession. -

It will be ignored by the headlines but we actually destroyed them second half. Just some of the worst finishing you’re ever going to see. And Olson is officially the worst keeper I’ve ever seen in a Villa shirt. The second goal is kicked straight at him! Useless! -

As usual the standard of ref in England is embarrassing. It’s a foul outside the box. The ref gave this first. Then changes his mind! VAR is pointless as always!
