I know, I don’t mean to be dreary but I tend to be as pessimistic as possible when it comes to Villa to avoid further disappointment. Hope I’m wrong and we can maintain our good start but I can’t see it.

Our record against Southampton between both their relegations, our own relegation and now is pretty dismal. Last beat them in 2013. Few hidings including a 6-1 under Tactics Tim too if I recall. I think we’re going to lose to be honest and will see that feel good factor ebb away.

Think I’d echo the sentiments of most people on here and say 4 from 5 was well beyond our expectations. Just think if we’d have lost 0-3 to Liverpool and won 7-2 last night we wouldn’t we wouldn’t feel as dismal but there it is, Leeds played very well. Onto the next one!

I’m getting wine drunk! 20 years of following Villa has left me with a pending sense of worry prior to any and every game. I appreciate this winning streak won’t go on forever but the longer it does, the more my nerves will be shot prior to each game and the more disappointed I’ll be when we do drop points. COME ON VILLA!!

I just hope some posters will have a little bit of perspective if this result doesn’t go our way. Never would have anticipated 12 points from 12 so to continue in that vein would be immense but it’s not the end of the world. They’re a well drilled side, similar to Sheffield United last year but with a better manager. Stats above show they’re real hard workers. Going to be tough! Hope we’re grounded and ready.
