    On the issue of trains, I understand that adding an additional service on match days creates a big scheduling issue for the rest of the service. However would it not be possible to add more carriages to the existing service? One or two extra carriages to trains after the match would make a huge difference. There are often more half empty carriages on the trains travelling to Aston before the game than there are on the dangerously full ones after the game.

    I understand your point and the media have always been annoyingly obsessed about their favourites, led by the arse kissing BBC. That will never change but hopefully over the next few seasons our role in this soap opera will grow, which may in someways not always be particularly palatable. However provided that means we are successful on the pitch and off it run in a morally correct way, interpret that as you will, then we can perhaps truly feel the joy of being in the PL.

    Mourinho has just summed it up when he said that Wolves have been playing together in this tactical style for 3 years. They have a much better and more settled squad than us. We made huge changes to the squad just a few months ago, we still need much more in terms of players and time together. Over the top and predictable criticism is as daft as it is unhelpful.

    Whilst I agree with this, in fact I gave it a like, I see why people are pleased that Southampton are losing to Everton. The assumption, I assume, being that Everton will ultimately be at least mid table, but Southampton are much more likely to be relegated.

    To be honest I would have been “venting” big time at the game. Most of it would have involved references to body parts below the belt!

    I get the venting of course. No I didn’t watch it, I no longer have a season ticket after moving to The Highlands. I’m hurting as much as anyone, I perhaps just react differently, I feel I want to protect the club when we’re down.

    People as usual are over reacting. Very disappointing to lose in this fashion, but again we competed extremely well and without our talisman. We’ve just played the best two teams in the league, one has won every game, often in the dying minutes. That’s why they’re at the top. Yes it has happened to us before this season, but we’re on a very steep learning curve. Time and patience required. Before the last two games people were hoping we didn’t get a Southampton style hammering. Support the team!

    I think under MON we were competitive for a season or two until everyone else knew our game and MON had no plan B. Not that I have a great deal of time for him in general and the way in which he left was for me unforgivable and done purely in self interest. Very average manager who benefited from, at that time anyway, a benevolent owner. What a wasted opportunity that was, imagine a decent manager who cared about the club and not himself with that sort of backing back then. Perhaps we may be on the brink of that situation now. Keeping Jack and building around him will be very important. Gutted he’s out today.

    The better he plays the more they hate him. When they hate our entire team we’ll be top of the league. We’ve had ten years of being irrelevant, pitied or basically ignored. Bring on the hate!

    Yes I think you’re right, although despite him having a good game, didn’t we lose 3-0. Or am I mixing up seasons?

    City obviously panicked and got a man sent off to nullify our chances of a come back.

    That’s a good shout for Pulis. They will surely be looking for a change after this and Pulis will galvanise them.
