  1. Zero shots on target. Quality. We are the most defensive team in this division with the most expensive strikers.
  2. That Ginger lad that has come on for Blackburn looks like Ryan Woods that used to play for Brentford. Plays like him too.
  3. One positive thing. Our all claret kit looks great. We should try it with claret socks also. Bad day when the only positive thing in the whole game is the kit.
  4. I think he was on his way down already which is why he didn't give it.
  5. Got away with that one. I thought Hutton played him on.
  6. Brentford won again and they have Ipswich next. They are going to be in the top 5 all season.
  7. Questions and Answers: Would John Terry Improve the squad? - Yes Is he worth 60 grand a week? - No Do I care as it's not my money? - No Could it be better spent elsewhere? - Yes, use the money to pay off Steve Bruce's contract Will this mean we now have a well balanced team - No Will the football improve - No, not whilst Steve Bruce is in charge When will things really start to improve - I think we all know the answer to that one
  8. Another outcast to add to the long list that Steve Bruce has exorcised. Madness.
  9. So Brentford promote two young players from their 'B' team to the first team, and yet we try and force our leading goal scorer out of the club, and plan to bring in a 38-year old CB. And we wonder what's wrong with our club and manager ..... Two more members of the Brentford B squad have been promoted to the First Team group. Marcus Forss and Mads Bech Sørensen will now officially be part of the First Team squad at Griffin Park after signing for Brentford B last summer. Both made their debuts for The Bees this season in the Carabao Cup win over Southend United after spending pre-season with the First Team and Marcus has gone on to make his Sky Bet Championship debut. https://www.brentfordfc.com/news/2018/september/mads-and-marcus-promoted/
  10. I love this article. It is spot on. Take a read at it in full: https://7500toholte.sbnation.com/2018/9/4/17814864/steve-bruce-must-leave-for-the-sake-of-aston-villa-bruce-out But neither the problems in defence nor the strange transfer window decisions are the reason Bruce needs to be shown the door. Bruce must leave because Villa simply won’t move forwards with him at the helm. He has been at the club for virtually two full years now and, while he steadied the ship brilliantly, Villa have not shown even a hint of progression in terms of their footballing style. You just never know what Villa side is going to turn up to each game and it is impossible to pin them down to a certain style of play (and not in a good way). The team still have absolutely no identity. No style, no tactics, no game-plan; how can that be after 23 months in the managerial hot seat?
  11. A small part of the Guardian article when Bruce got fired from Sunderland ......... Seems like history is repeating itself all over again. If he failed to cut it as a tactician, the 50-year-old did not seem much of a strategist either. Including loans, 30 players were signed – several of whom have subsequently been moved on – during Bruce's two-and-a-half years on Wearside. That represents an unsettling "churn" factor and hardly proved conducive to developing either a clear playing philosophy or strong team spirit. https://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2011/nov/30/steve-bruce-sunderland-sacked
  12. So we are 12th in the table at the moment with a zero goal difference, and our last few games have been Sheffield United, Reading, Ipswich and Brentford. Plus, add Burton in there for a bit of fun. What's going to happen when we play Leeds, Boro, etc? Now is the time to escort the man from the building. It's about an hour or so to Bodymoor Heath. Hopefully, the powers that be are waiting.
  13. Well we've seen what happens when you throw a bunch of players on a pitch and ask them to work it out themselves. Dean Smith is a coach that has a philosophy on how his team should play, prepares them, coaches them, and consistently has his team playing good football and performing above where you would expect them to be. I want some of that.
  14. Brentford won again. 20 shots today, 6 on target with 55% possession with their best striker suspended. Sold one of their best players in the week and have an average age of 23. Solid performances week in and week out even with selling their best. Please call Dean Smith tomorrow afternoon.
  15. Steve, the reason why we lost six players is because YOU took the short term view of bringing in loan signings to get us promoted. That failed and you failed. Don't complain about the consequences of your own mistakes.
  16. I'm tired of: Crap football (Hoof ball) One man upfront Continually adding new signings - When it doesn't work just get another player on loan Not giving youth a fair chance - Brentford had 2 x CB's that were both 20 and an overall average age of 23 when they played us No pattern of play - We have a formation, but that's about it People being played out of position The same crap excuses after a loss Watching my team look ordinary - Which is very depressing Waiting for someone to perform some magic on the pitch - Otherwise we don't score Watching a team of individuals Steve Bruce - Full Stop
  17. If it was on TV I would switch to watch Brentford reserves play. These are the types of stats we should be seeing against lower opposition.
  18. Halfway through the first half and neither team has had a shot at goal. Sounds like a real humdinger.
  19. Do you know what Bruce would do if he had Gayle and Rodriguez ? .......... Play one of them
