  1. Would much rather have Kamara than Bentancur.

    Jhon Durán

Looks very quick and built like Haaland. He’ll do!! Pet name Roberto or new Villa song Rio by Duran Duran?
  3. When you kick it in between the bars it’s a point, right??
  4. Neither Luiz nor Ramsey will last under Emery and with good reason. It’s no surprise to me that Villa are currently being linked to one or more midfielders. This is a midfield that without the addition of Kamara has struggled to keep Villa in the Premiership in recent times and got no-where near where the owners want to be.
  5. Well that was a steal but under the circumstances a great win. Thought Kamara was a class above anything else on the pitch and he’ll get better under Emery. Young was also excellent while Moreno showed enough to become an astute signing by Emery. Bailey much improved as well. Two new midfielders and a better forward then Villa will definitely finish top 9-10.
  6. Emery isn’t stupid. Luiz, Buendia and Ramsey’s days at the Villa are numbered!
  7. Very good game but apart from the first ten Leeds have been much the better team. When is Mings going to realise he isn’t Bobby Moore or Beckenbauer. Gives possession away so many times instead of playing the simple ball. Leeds cutting through Villa’s midfield at will and Emery must change it to stop that if Villa are to win.
  8. Great ball by Young but Kamara is already some player on a free.
  9. Trossard available at Brighton. Emery confirmed in his news conference today that he’s looking for a winger. Trossard would be a great but expensive buy. However I’m not sure he would sign for Villa if there are any offers from the top six?
  10. Hopefully the start of the midfield turnover at the Villa.
  11. I support both Villa and Everton. I’ve watched Luiz a mountain of times. He has never impressed me. He is, imo, one of the most limited midfielders I’ve seen. I’d even rate McGinn ahead of him. Villa will continue to flatter to deceive until both Luiz and McGinn are replaced with more effective players.
  12. If Villa do sign him he’ll go straight into the first team to play alongside Kamara to replace Luiz and McGinn. No way he signs to be 3rd or 4th choice.
  13. Good technique and has a bit of bite about him. For me more effective than either McGinn or Luiz. If there’s any truth to it then a big yes from me to play alongside Kamara.
  14. Being a supporter of both Everton and Villa I think there are players in both squads that the manager’s would like to move on. It’s the same for even some of the top six so I believe it’s a little unfair to just mention Everton.
  15. Everton want him due to being a clinical goal scorer and will base the side on getting the best out of him whereas I don’t think Villa have quite done that. For me Ings is the best striker Villa have and would be foolish to sell him in January but every player has his price.
  16. An offer in the region of 25m-30m and Villa should bite Chelsea’s hand off. I’m sure Emery could use two thirds of that fee to get someone better and more technically proficient. Exactly the same with Digne should someone come in for him. The only current Villa players I’d keep are Martinez, Mings and Kamara.

    Who can go?

Luiz, Ramsey, Sanson, Marvellous, Watkins, McGinn, Digne, Olsen, Bailey, Chambers, Dendoncker, Coutinho and Buendia. Cash has also gone downhill. Its a major squad rebuild for Emery.
  18. That’s the problem and why the Villa haven’t won anything for ages. Blinkered comments like your post runs throughout the club. For example, one poster informed me recently on here than Luiz was worth between 60m-80m. Other posters were screaming for the inclusion of Sanson. Well he was chosen today and subbed off against Stevenage! You say that Villa’s current midfield would best Everton’s midfield? Maybe, maybe not but both teams have struggled for some time now so I’m not sure Villa’s midfield should be used as a yardstick for any team in top flight football? I’m no more deluded than those who think all of the above. By the start of next season I will be very surprised indeed to see any of the current midfield at Villa or indeed fullbacks and wide forwards. By the way I forgot about Marvellous so I would include him in those being moved on.
  19. Have been saying it for quite some time now that Villa’s midfield is absolute trash!! Luiz, McGinn, Donk, Sanson, Ramsey (when fit) all need moved on at the earliest opportunity! Only current midfielder I’d keep is Kamara! Coutinho was also an awful signing and said so to to a Villa mate of mine. Bailey has also been a disastrous signing. Olson is nowhere near an able backup to Martinez. Emery will be left in no doubt after that rank performance that he has a major rebuilding job on his hands this month, the summer and probably beyond that. Being both an Everton & now more so a Villa supporter it’s been a tough watch recently but I’m not even angry at such a performance today. With the current Villa squad I expected it!
  20. I really don’t think Emery would have taken the job at Villa to manage a sell to buy policy or little backing by the owners for the players he wants. Gerrard wasn’t allowed to spend too much for a reason so I’m in no doubt Emery will be given the funds to buy whoever he wants and in the summer again. I’d expect maybe one, if not two more effective midfielders to be signed plus a forward. FB positions may also be looked at with several players sold or pushed out on loan with a view to buy.
