  1. Scored at the weekend and the last three seasons 9, 8, and 10.
  2. To me Digne looks a lot more settled in pre and in the start of the new season. Unless a really good offer comes in I’d be quite happy to keep him with so many games to play.
  3. One of which hasn’t played in the Premiership before and the other coming back from a serious injury. Not sure Carlos is ready to play a full game yet?
  4. Cannot believe that after Ming’s injury Villa didn’t go all out to sign Laporte.
  5. Seen a lot of Philogene in pre-season and was mightily impressed by him so was shocked that he didn’t start the first game. Very fast and direct and deserved to start ahead of Bailey. Now Emery is thinking of selling him. Really don’t understand it with the amount of games Villa will have to play this season if they get past Hibs?
  6. Everton awful and on that performance this is the year they will finally go down. Villa haven’t been great either but then they don’t have to be. The type of game you fall asleep to.
  7. Reminds me of Savo in physic.
  8. Must be Carlos Tevez’s brother?
  9. I’ve two mates who are Leeds supporters and swear by Adams. They told me when he picked up the injury their whole defence went to pot! All about opinions I suppose but for 24m to quality cover two positions it isn’t a lot to pay.
  10. If that is the case then both teams chose me. Always followed both teams!
  11. Be a while before that happens JV. I don’t want Villa weakened at all. I still think the weakest part of the Villa team is in midfield. It could and should be approved upon if Villa want to seriously challenge for the top four which is next on the wish list of owners and fans alike. I just don’t think Villa’s current midfield is good enough to get Villa there and neither is Watkins.
  12. Nothing to do with the Everton game. Villa have been my number one team for a while now but I still support both. I like Kamara. Great signing on a free and a very good footballer but he’s so inconsistent and a bit lightweight! If the right offer was made for him and I mean 50m plus I’d take it and trust in Emery to bring in better. I’ve already made my opinion clear on Luiz so no need to go into all of that again.
  13. I’d sell both Kamara and Luiz if the offers were good enough and rebuild the centre of midfield.
  14. Yes mate Gadot. I’ve a real crush on her but sadly she’s married.
  15. Xanadu song would go well with him. Excited to see him play.
  16. It makes perfect sense when you consider teams with ‘great’ midfields generally win more than those who don’t.
  17. No problem but I am very proud to say that I am a Villa fan. In fact wanting the best for your team or teams is a sure sign that you care and no team or player should be above fan criticism. The debate is about opinion and I will continue to voice that opinion while accepting other’s who think differently.
  18. I’m here due to supporting both Villa and Everton and more Villa now. Have stated this many times already on site! Concerning chatting shit that may be so but what I won’t do is change my opinion to fall in line with your and other’s opinion that Villa’s midfield is great. There is nothing to suggest that other than a 7th place finish last season. Can’t remember Villa ‘destroying’ any of the top six other than the 7 against Liverpool several seasons ago. If Villa’s midfield is so great then why have Villa been without a trophy for many years now?
  19. Not sure Villa’s midfield is as great as you say it is. Also concerning consistency it was Villa’s first game of the new season and their midfield was still schooled by Newcastle’s as well as most of the top six last season. I say top six because that’s where the Villa owners wanna be. Villa have had the likes of Luiz and McGinn in midfield for several seasons now and generally come up short against the top teams.
  20. They didn’t dump Adams. Dunno where you got that from? They, being Adams and Chelsea couldn’t agree terms! Concerning Chelsea’s transfer policy they purchased a lot of players in the past but have sold several of those for good money. They’ve also won the Champions League in that period on two different occasions so to a large extent their transfer policy has brought them great success! Poch is widely regarded as a coach and known to develop younger players. Trying to buy Adams therefore shows that he has seen something in Adams that you don’t and if you’ll forgive me I’d prefer to use Poch’s judgement rather than someone who bends the truth to suit his arguments. Totally agree that Everton have purchased poorly in the past. Every club has including Villa who were relegated because of it. Everton however managed to stay in the Premiership last season under a new manager whom you deride due his choice in player. There are so many contradictory comments in your posts concerning our debate. I’ve pointed those out as best I can but we all have our own opinions.
  21. Everton has absolutely nothing to do with it. Named players imo are plenty good enough unless you’re suggesting Pochettino likes the type of player Dyche would buy?
