Sure, and it’s all good fun. Just always wondered how good he really is and whether he lives up to the hype - I haven’t seen it myself but not seen enough of him to make a judgement call.

I meant into our existing or Unai’s preferred system really… I don’t think he would suddenly implement a new formation/system just to force players into the side, it has to work and to the optimum level… balanced and effective. He’s more likely to tweak it than go for radical change imo… and such a change is less likely to happen once the season is underway… First of all, they’d have to compete and fight for their places (how great would that be?) and I think at least one of them would have to start on the bench more often than not… Until Zaniolo shines, it would probably be him at first… with the investment in Diaby and what it would take to get Chiesa… they would be more assured as starters… so Moussa would probably support the CF and Chiesa on the wing (why am I indulging in this fantasy? )… Maybe we drop Ollie! Could Zaniolo surpass him in that position?

If, by some miracle, we signed Chiesa… How would we line up exactly? With attacking options of Watkins, Zaniolo, Diaby…. and Chiesa… Not sure we would play with two wingers if Emery persists with what appears to be his favoured system and too much attacking flair would mean a sacrifice in defensive prowess… we need to maintain that balance… McGinn is very useful for us in the role that he fulfils… particularly in terms of helping out on the defensive and physical side of the game…

I’ve seen very little of Dybala but he has a good reputation… when I have seen him, he’s never impressed me. Never made much of a mark for Argentina either? How good is he? And how does he compare to a settled or on form Felix, for example? He has recently said that he’s happy there and has a real connection with the fans, don’t think he’d be an option or under consideration for us.

Oh for crying out… Please piss off with these sickening loans! So fed up of this shite and having to continue to pay players who aren’t even going to be contributing to the club… We’ve got to stop making costly blunders like this… so frustrating…. If we can’t get a sale and good fee, we’re better off just keeping him and playing him until Moreno’s fit and firing… Problem is, I think we (Monchi) have unsettled the player now… and put ourselves in an awkward situation. Unless this is all complete bullshit and we do have an actual sale n decent fee lined up

I don’t think Phil has the energy, stamina or speed to play on the wing… The best place for him seems to be in support of the striker… until he’s moved on or replaced by a more effective player… I would like to see what Moussa can do in a “marauding” kind of role… use his pace and trickery to scare the opposition… while we keep the core of midfield strong and composed on the ball…

He definitely means business!

As long as Diego is feeling good, fit and in form, I really want us to establish that Pau and Carlos partnership and allow it to develop and settle down… it could be amazing… Konsa to compete and cover but… might be a better option at RB than Cash… solidify that side and allow a winger to kind of run riot ahead of him… Diaby. The Digne situation is a tricky one but he’s the best option we have atm at LB and will hopefully perform and not be unsettled or disillusioned… Maybe give Phil a chance to support Ollie, until Zaniolo is ready… Leave Bailey out and force him to have to fight for his place and prove himself… not a bad option to bring on off the bench if he has the motivation and desire to make an impact… Watkins Coutinho Diaby McGinn Luiz Kamara Digne Pau Carlos Konsa Martinez I don’t want Pau playing at LB but I suppose the option is there and to switch McGinn & Diaby and bring in Cash, thereby relegating Digne to the bench. I personally prefer the above though…

I won’t go into details, but I don’t sleep well in general… Wasn’t here for the Nico news yesterday though, so not constant But… transfer windows are when I’m most “active” and engaged… I’ll relax and take some time out (and focus on more important things!) when the window “slams shut” I’m so invested and excited now though…Unai has me hoping and enjoying following our club again…. Hope we can all enjoy a period of success and entertainment now… it’s about damn time!

Surprised he’s only 27… there would be stiff competition I would think but it would be a great signing…

Maybe we keep Leander for his height, strength and aerial ability… since we lost our “main man” in that respect in Ty… I wonder if he’d be more suited to defence than midfield actually… convert him to a proper CB? His limitations make him a reserve in midfield but maybe his attributes are better suited to central defence… he’d still be a backup there though… I want to see a Pau and Diego partnership thrive..
